AboutThis community is for anyone interested in sharing sheet music with others. If you're a musician, you probably know what it's like to realllly want sheet music for that certain piece, but you can't seem to find it anywhere or don't feel like paying x amount of dollars and some silly shipping handling price just to get it. So I thought I'd create this community for musicians to both upload and download sheet music.
Now here's the deal... if the majority of the posts consist of "does anyone have _____? i really want to play it," then that will be really boring for everyone. Instead, if everyone frequently makes post to *share* music too, then everyone will be much more likely to help others out. So of course you are welcome to make a post asking if anyone else has a piece you're looking for, but it's much better if you also make posts sharing music that you have.
All you need to share music with others is a scanner with which to scan the pages, and then a place to upload your music. Photobucket.com is a great popular site that is free and easy to use. You just create an account, upload your photos/images/music, and then it gives you a convenient link that you can just post here or anywhere else.
I hope this community can be fun and helpful for anyone who may decide to join :)
p.s.- if anyone would like to try to create a nifty layout for this place, feel free to let me know, as my skills are somewhat limited in said area
