This community is like most LJ communities based on fanfics (IE - fanfic100) with a few different rules. :)

Rules on your choice of fandom/claims

1.) Your fandom MUST BE ANIME, MANGA, GAME, or LIVEACTION BASED ON ONE OF THE PREVIOUS. There is no choice around this, and crossovers to another genre (TV shows, novels) are also unacceptable.

2.) Your fandom must also contain a female that, at the least, "likes girls perhaps a little more than they should." ;) This character (or these characters) must be the focus of your entries. You may not choose a general series and then post something that is not shoujo-ai/yuri in nature.

3.) Your claim must specify the genre of your claim. We reserve the right on certain series, where the storyline is nearly exactly the same (read: such as the Maria-sama ga Miteru anime and manga) to combine them into one lump claim.

4.) There will be only one person to a claim. You can claim general series. Beyond that, you may also choose a pairing, or a single character, if it is found that there is not another girl actually interested in a particular character. (Pairs are naturally preferred.)

4a.) Not really a rule, but a specification: If someone has chosen a general series, you still may choose any individual character and/or pairing in the series you wish. For example, if someone has chosen General Series of Mai-HiME, it is still more than acceptable to claim Natsuki x Shizuru.

5.) Claims are to be taken by a single person. You may do co-written pieces, but these should be kept to a minimum. At most 10 entries.

6.) Please do NOT submit a claim if the fandom you wish (listed here) if the claim is otherwise obviously listed or the fandom itself is considered **CLOSED**. This means that all arguably (mods determine what's arguably, not you) couples are taken. Be careful, just because the anime field is closed does not mean that the manga field is, or vice versa. Extra Note: There are those that were removed from their claim for rampant inactivity/failure to report journal changes, and so on. These claims are marked by a strike and ARE AVAILABLE FOR CLAIMING. The strike is there merely as a placeholder in case the person comes back wanting it for some reason.

Rules on generally what is acceptable and not

1.) "Drabbles" are not acceptable. This particular community is geared towards fanfics, and all should be over 500 words, minimum. If you are interested in shorter pieces, you should consider visiting yuridrabbles. :D PS, a handy-dandy browser-based javascript word counter can be used here.

2.) Good punctuation and grammar IS A MUST. This is not a forum to post your fanfics in unedited format simply to get an opinion. For that I might suggest the shoujoai.com forum section. The pieces posted here must be legible, spell-checked, nearly typo-free, and should likely be beta-read before being posted here. These will be checked.

3.) AU is good. Cross-over and OOC is bad, mostly. Please keep your fanfics to under 10 at most for these last two categories. Mods have the right to comment as warning if they feel either of these are excessive. If necessary, you may be removed from your claim for these reasons, also.

4.) You may use any couple/characters in your fandom if you choose general series, even if there is someone who has a claim on that particular couple/character.

5.) Sexual situations are permitted with the quid pro quo that you label your rating appropriately. Ratings are also something that mods have the right to comment to warn you on, and if necessary may result in removing your claim.

6.) If your fanfic is based on the anime, the bulk of your fanfics should have some indicator that it is indeed from the anime. If it is from the manga, the bulk of them should indicate somehow it's from the manga. (This of course only applies to series where there are indeed 2 categories for the purposes of storyline/character design differences.)

Important Notes!

1.) You may write these in any order you wish.

2.) You do not have to use the word of the prompt directly in your entry. So long as the prompt is implied, it's acceptable.

3.) You may only use one prompt per entry. In other words, if you have a fanfic that applies to 2 prompts, you must chose one to put it under. :)

4.) You may post as many or as few of the entries as you wish in one posting. Post them as you complete them, or in series if that is your wish.

5.) You must label all your entries when posting with the following system:

6.) You may post old fics so long as they apply to one of these prompts!! ;)

7.) In general, you have as long as you wish to do these prompts. However, inactivity on your part (in other words: making a claim and then posting nothing, deleting the journal you chose to make the claim with no notification to a mod, not responding to general "call-to-arms" postings [which will typically be left open for a month or so, combined with reminders]) may cause you to lose your claim. If you think you may be out for a long while, then just drop us a note so we know! ;)
