Directly from the proverbial horse's mouth, and by horse I mean JACK!
"Okay, so here’s how this is going to work.
The Wilderness is expected to be rolling out in August or September. A pre-order price of $10.00 gets you:
:: A compact disc of the album (remember those things? shiny platters of digitally coded music?)
:: A selection in the weeks before the album’s release of downloadable practice sessions, in which we roll through the new tunes as well as some old favorites.
:: Inclusion on a special e-mail list with which we give you news on the album’s development.
:: Last but not least, your very own shortwavedahlia.org e-mail address! Now your spam has somewhere new to go!
PayPal your money over to shortwavedahlia@yahoo.com OR to send it by snail mail, contact Jack at jack@shortwavedahlia.org for the mailing address.
So what do you say? Ready for the next phase of Shortwave Dahlia?

| SD Update |
[Nov. 2nd, 2007|12:54 pm] |
Here a few updates that I've not gotten a chance to post, as I am made of FALE!
First off SHOW UPDATE! Don't forget, Shortwave Dahlia will be at Neil's Saturday, November 10th, with J.D. Reager & the Cold Blooded Three AND Ginsu Wives.
The cover is $5 as usual and the show starts at 10:00 PM!
Some very cool news, by way of Warren Ellis, of all people!
From the mouth of Jack! In his (Warren Ellis') own description:
“‘Song For Vara,’ the longest song on the ‘cast, reminds me of many things. For me, it’s an alchemy of autumn nights spent by the radio in the 80s, poured out as postrock.”
Excuse me, I think I just soiled myself. For those of you with clean underpants, download the podcast at http://warrenellis.com
And yet MORE Kudos for "Song for Vara"
Interesting…a fantastic write-up! Not Dead Yet reviews "Song for Vara"
The band is getting noticed, which is fantastic! Have you signed onto the Shortwave Dahlia Forum? It's the best place to get your Shortwave Dahlia news and interact with the band and other musically inclined people!
That's all the news for now! More to come soon. I know the band has been in the studio, working up their musical alchemy. So new SD music on the horizon!! |
