the short girl wall of death was formed in 2001 when five girls, fed up with being ignored, dominated, and pushed around in the pit at their friends' band's show, made a wall of death during the breakdown of a song and went up against a wall of tall boys. [if you're not familiar with the term 'wall of death', it is when you stand in a line and put your arms around each others' shoulders and run into people forcefully.] heartened and unified, the short girl wall of death became an establishment, and as time went on new members were inducted. we exist today as a community of girls [short AND tall] and dudes in the music scene who support each other and our goals and contest the male majority in bands and at shows.
we don't hate guys at all. we have a lot of supportive and awesome male friends whom we love. we are merely recognizing the fact that there is a gender disproportion in the scene.

jendotcom] and meg [holdnothing] decided to start making t-shirts. we started with iron on letters and later moved to stenciling. we now silkscreen our shirts, which is better, more customizable, and superior in most ways. we'll make you one for $5, or if you give us your own shirt to screen, we'll charge you nothing. we do accept donations, however small. any donations and any profit from the shirts will simply go back into getting more supplies for the shirts, and to upcoming sgwod projects, such as our zine.
this community mostly exists to keep you all updated on short girl wall of death group activities, other general pertinent information, and just as a social forum. eventually we will have an actual webspace and will move our base of internet operations there.
if you don't know us or live in the area, we're happy to ship you a shirt if you just add in the cost of shipping to the $5. make sure you leave some contact info with your order since this involves more complicated stuff like addresses and payment types and crap. please feel free to join the community and participate! ALSO, if you want to promote in your area, contact us and we'll send you some buttons, and we're working on making some print literature and stickers.
the other three original short girl wall of death members not involved in this enterprise are jenny f., chelsie, and smurb. we haven't forgotten you.
