Introduction: The Shikon Awards is a community dedicated to evaluating and recognizing those fanfictions that are truly exceptional in the Inuyasha fandom. There are four rounds a year.


Spring Round: for stories completed between the entire 2007 year when the Shikons was on Hiatus. Judging takes place the following summer, after a nomination period of January 8th through April 1st. Two weeks will be taken off for judges and staff before the judging period from April 2nd to April 14th. The consideration period (when judges will be shortlisting and then selecting winners) is from April 15th through July
15th.		Summer Round: for stories completed between January 1 - April 14th of the year. Judging takes place the following session, after a nomination period of April 15th through July 15th. Two weeks will be taken off for judges and staff before the judging period from July 16th to July 30th. The consideration period (when judges will be shortlisting and then selecting winners) is from August 1st through October
31st.
Fall Round: for stories completed between April 15th through July 30th of the year. Judging takes place the following session, after a nomination period of August 1st through October 31st. The consideration period (when judges will be shortlisting and then selecting winners) is from November 1st through January 7th, of 2009. Winter Round: is the community hiatus from nominating fiction. Judges wrap up the year with the last judging period for the Fall Round. This break period (during which judges will still be shortlisting and then selecting winners) is from November 1st through January 7th, of 2009. The following year will pick up a similar schedule as before.
