PROJECT #1 - Thought Provoker
Last night, while watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (very good movie, by the way), one of my childhood memories that I've tried to keep buried for the last... 17-18 years, resurfaced because of the very same thing happened on the screen. I lurched a bit seeing it, and tried to not burst out into tears (It wasn't a very happy moment, which was why I keep it buried in cobwebs), but it also made me think now was the time to do something about it. I'm not even suresiadhan knows about this memory of mine.
So that'll be our project for this next few weeks (or until I come up with something else, or someone else comes up with an idea)
A Provoked Thought/Memory . A memory you are WILLING to share, or have to share to clear your conscience, even if it's dreadful. (I will not say what mine is til I finish the drawing, but it's something I am still shamed that I had done to this day.) There will be no forcing out of things that you are not willing to share with 40+ members, and whom ever stumbles across this journal over time. I'm drawing my memory because I feel like I need to, to maybe help realize that I was a child and did not know any better. This does not have to be a bad, shameful, evil kind of thought/memory.. it can be happy as well, but for some reason, you let it drift off over the years. Time to reel them in and use it to create.
1. reply only in this post with banter about the project. other questions, or even the next idea if you come across one while doing this. DO NOT post your piece in this thread. Start your (as in, if everyone participates, we'll have about 40 new posts to wade through!) own 'new entry' with "Project #1" in the title along with any titles you have for your piece.
2. it's not REQUIRED to participate, but if you have a piece brewing in your head, please let it get out. :)
3. any form of 'art' is allowed. Writing, Photography, Digital, Traditional, Song... etc. Create it any way you feel it needs to be created. Please, try and make it a new piece.
4. if it's a large image, contains nudity, long writing... put thumbnail/one paragraph outside of a lj-cut (how to make an lj-cut).
5. feel free to post a work in progress if you need critiques on it.. otherwise please refrain from posting your work til it's done.
6. I will memory everything to keep it all together for future dates to look back to.
7. No deadline on this one (others may have deadlines though). If you don't think up something til 6 months from now, or it takes a year to finish, show it when you're done!
