Welcome to "Paradox: The Sheldon & Penny Shipping Community." This is the first and only community dedicated to the characters and pairing of Sheldon and Penny of CBS' The Big Bang Theory. This is your go-to location for art, fan fiction, videos, and more! Why "PARADOX?" Well, it's a technical term that rather fits our Penny and Sheldon: 1) A statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true; 2) One (as a person, situation, or action) having seemingly contradictory qualities. Sheldon and Penny are opposites who attract, two individuals who seemingly don't mesh, but together do so beautifully. So, Sheldon/Penny: Paradox. A more detailed run-down of the rules and guidelines can be found here. 1.) Please show courtesy to other fans, both inside and outside this community, with regard to their interests and opinions. This includes the Leonard and Penny community/fandom. 2.) All members should use generally accepted grammar, including proper capitalization and punctuation. 3.) Respect toward the actors, writers, and producers of The Big Bang Theory must be shown. This community will not tolerate bashing of any of these individuals, nor speculation on their private lives and relationships. 4.) Make diligent use of lj-cuts. Posts that don't cut adult, spoilery, or lengthy content may be deleted otherwise. Repeat: Spoilers must always be under an lj-cut. If they are not, your post *will* be deleted. Icons containing images from unaired episodes are considered spoilers. Do not post with spoiler icons before a cut. Spoilery icons can only be posted in the comment section of *spoiler* posts. 5.) Do not spam the community with multiple posts or unrelated content/topics. We prefer long posts with lots of content to several small posts. When an occasion gains a lot of press we ask that you add or comment with any additional press/videos to existing posts on the same subject. 6.) Don't hot-link images (eg. post an image from a site, without re-uploading it on your own), thus stealing bandwidth. We recommend TinyPic, ImageShack, or Photobucket - all free, easy to use, and legal. | 7.) Review and make use of the community's tags. Please only post once you've properly tagged your entry. Use your author/artist tag (if you don't have one, a moderator will create one for you). If you want to post something that you're not sure if it has been posted before, check the appropriate tags. If it's older information, chances are good it's been posted already. 8.) When posting fan fiction, include Title, Author, Spoilers, Rating/Warnings, Word Count, and Disclaimers. If it's a multi-chapter story, provide links to previous chapters. Or copy the coding below: 9.) If you're posting fan fiction for the first time and would like some advice or editing done (free of charge!) refer to the Official Beta Post to request a beta. 10.) Find useful links in the community's sidebar and further to the right, on this profile page. Check them out! 11.) If you're new to HTML and/or LiveJournal, PLEASE try and refer to any of these guides before posting (One, Two, Three) for a simple overview of the basics.
