AboutThis community is for gay professionals, gay geeks, gay intellectuals, gay nerds, gay smart people, gay genii, gay literates, gay artists, etc.
Now that it's OK to be Gay in most metropolitan areas around the world, all the spectrums of the rainbow are beginning to come out of the rain clouds and shine in their full glory. Many groups of people have been breaking down the walls of the traditional gay stereotype, and I hope this community can serve a similar goal. As gay people are still in the relative minority, it is still important for us to come together in places of mutual respect and understanding. The gay bar is the grand daddy of such places, and has been followed in recent years by political groups, support groups, coffehouses, and now, the Internet. My SharpGay project is the gay intellectual's answer to the abundance of places on the Internet and elsewhere that focus solely on the perceived majority gay social construct. If the SharpGay concept manages to catch on, I believe this "niche" gay class may prove to represent a large constituency of already-alive humans.
