so. this straightforward, irreverent, and - above all - shameless jmusic community was created by milo, who tired far more of self-important mod posts than the supposed "spam" entries they were about.

well. as someone who can remember when she didn't have that incredibly swingin' Pierrot PV, likes Miyavi [he's one of the prettiest things on this planet, let's be real], obsesses regularly over Dir en grey, and doesn't consider herself *totally* clueless, i thought maybe it was time for something a little different.

welcome to shame1ess. jmusic is a beautiful thing, and there's no reason anyone should make someone who's new to the genre feel bad about requesting [KR] Cube. request whatever you want to hear. really. regardless of what the "seasoned veterans" believe, there are people in this world who haven't ever heard that song. and rather than scoff at them, i say, "THERE OUGHTTA BE A LAW" and upload it as fast as my ailing computer will allow.

and as for the uploading thing, it's very simple. shameless goes for people who have 5000-song collections as much as it does for someone who doesn't know Hyde from hide. lots of people want to pimp their favorite band so much that they want - yes, WANT - to let that progress bar go for 7 hours and so others can see an awesome live. filling requests makes me feel squishy inside, expecially if it's a band that i particularly like, because it just means i'm hooking other people like i was hoooked once [ah yes... the song was Hyde's "Hello," and it was a beautiful thing. i haven't looked back since.] and discouraging gifts is the most counter-intuitive thing i've ever heard - a flooded f-page is a chance we all take; that's what the filters are for guys]. more posts mean more music.

the long and short of it is this: i want people in this community to have the freest rein possible in this community. request away. upload away. whatever you want in the realm of jrock [jpop and other asian-language music acceptable to an extent, but i want it to remain japanese and rock-centric], feel free. no, i mean it.

1. Comment when you download something. There's nothing that bothers me more than a post that only has "can you plz reup kthxbai" comments on it. There's a difference between being shameless and being rude. Remember that.

2. Try to have some kind of an offering when you request. It doesn't have to be equivalent to your request. Just a little something is nice.

3. Be nice. Again, shameless does not equal asshole. If you can't deal with n00bs, don't talk to them. But that's prety lame too, if you ask me.

4. The obligatory: you know you want to own all this aural ecstasy. Delete the files after 24 hours, buy the album, support the artists and all that.

5. You may advertise comms and websites here, but they must be Jrock music-related. Things like eBay auctions, sales ads, off-topicness are not okay.

6. Do not post or request non-Asian media here unless it's somehow related to Asian media. Read Milo's post about the subject (friends-locked). Please don't try to sneak it in with a lot of Asian uploads; that sort of thing makes

doctorsidrat cry.

7. Please stay on topic. This is a file-sharing comm. If you have a question about something J-related, smush it inbetween an upload or two. If it's not J-related and/or you haven't uploaded anything, don't ask it here.
