We've been getting a few people trying to join the community with their personal journals, so I'd just like to point out that you DO NOT TRY TO JOIN THE COMMUNITY WITH YOUR PERSONAL JOURNAL. Read the rules, apply, then join with your muse journal once you're approved.
 What do you get when you take a bunch of Asian idols and force them to live in an apartment villa where crazy happenings are the norm? Yes, you get ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) shaky_needles, the insanely addictive crack RP. |
 While we may be generally laid back, there are some rules to follow:
o1. THIS IS A LIVEJOURNAL-BASED RP. Everything happens on LJ and only LJ. If you want to RP muses on AIM/MSN/etc., that's fine with us, but it doesn't count towards the RP.
o2. REMEMBER THAT IC DOES NOT EQUAL OOC. In other words, if you have an issue with another mun, don't let it leak into the RP. If we catch anyone doing this, we won't hesitate to warn you.
o3. ABSOLUTELY NO GODMODING. No controlling other muses, having your muse do things they couldn't normally do, so on.
o4. ABSOLUTELY NO KILLING OF MUSES. No, your muse may not die. Also, don't apply for dead idols. Not cool.
o5. PLEASE USE PROPER GRAMMAR AND SPELLING. We can understand spelling things wrong to be funny, but there's a limit.
o6. KEEP ACTIVE. It's fine if you're having RL problems or are busy with school. Just tell us. On the other hand, if you're online all the time and are just neglecting your muse(s), you risk being booted from the RP. Popping in as little as once a week is good enough for us, so it shouldn't be too hard to stay active. If your muse is inactive for one month or longer, we will remove them.
The following aren't really rules so much as they are notes.
o1. This is a crack RP, so we can't expect you to play your idol perfectly in-character. We're all guilty of being OOC at one point or another. All we ask is that you know your idol well enough to play them just a little IC, at least.
o2. Heterosexual and homosexual relationships are both welcome.
o3. You can apply for any Asian idol -- Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, actors, singers, models, etc. As long as they're at least part-Asian and belong to the Asian entertainment industry, it's okay.
o4. We all know that OCs (extra characters that aren't idols, but are controlled by muns) are fun, but please keep them under control. If you bring in a new OC every post, it just gets annoying. We don't want to get to the point where OCs have to be approved by the mods before you can bring them in.

 Becoming part of Shaky Needles is an easy process! Just follow the steps below.
o1. Check the list of taken idols and pick one that hasn't been claimed yet. Italicized muses have been inactive and are able to be applied for.
o2. Fill out the form found at the opening post here and send it to applications@moon-clock.net. DO NOT TRY TO JOIN WITH YOUR PESONAL JOURNAL. Feel free to watch the community with it, though.
o3. After you're approved, make your muse journal and apply to join this community (with your MUSE JOURNAL ONLY). It's also a good idea to join and friend sn_ooc with your muse journal.
o4. Check out this post and use the instructions to friend all of the other muses with your muse's journal.
o5. For those of you who are new to Shaky Needles, please check out the nifty Shaky Needles Role Playing Guide to get acquainted with how we do things around here.
o6. Your muse should go pick up their apartment key at the opening post before doing anything else.
o7. Once you're all set, go make a muse arrival post in the main community, and have fun! |
