(iii) If you buy/sell/trade "on behalf of (unregistered) friends", you will take full responsibility and be fully liable for that transaction. You & your feedback will be at risk should anything go wrong.

(iv) This is the list of registered members trusted by sgselltrade. You may not post on sgselltrade AT ALL unless you are on this list!

sgselltrade

(a) When making sales posts, please sell/trade something specific on sgselltrade! Your post must contain all or most information that would enable a buyer to decide whether to buy that particular item from you. Adverts/links to your sales LJ or previous sgselltrade posts are only tolerated if the details of your posts are located on sgselltrade.

(b) When making a solely "looking for" post, do not link your previous sales posts.

(c) Please include your sgstfeedback URL as well as your positive, neutral (if any) & negative feedback. For eg, If you have 66 positive, 2 neutral and 1 negative feedback: SGSTfb [+66/2n/-1].

(d) Feedback links are not compulsory for "looking for" posts.

(e) Use the LJ-CUT for large posts, fonts, pictures or >1 picture.

(f) Entries have been automatically set to friends/members-only. Editing your post to break this rule = 2 week suspension.

(a) Everyone is allowed ONE post every calendar day.

(b) Any item or announcement (looking/selling) may only be posted after 5 days.

(i) If you last posted Item A at 8am, 2 June, you may only submit any post containing Item A at 8am, 7 June or after. Just add 5 days.
(ii) Reposting the same item for your friends or shared selling journal is also a repost. It's the same item!
(iii) Reposting = 2 week suspension.

(c) Members are NOT allowed to falsify dates on your post or delete your old sales post to repost your items up again in less than a week. Wrong date = 2 week suspension.

(d) sgselltrade is a community for Singaporean Livejournal.com users only. Members are NOT allowed to promote any other site except runwaycity or your sales livejournals (via comments, HTML or photo watermarks). External promotion = 2 week suspension or permanent ban.

(e) Only 1 image is allowed outside the LJ cut so that the main page will load faster. If you post more than 1 picture in an entry, please use the LJ-CUT. (LJ-CUT might not work with rich-text mode; please use simple text mode if you are new.)

(f) The picture outside the LJ cut is not to exceed the limit of 320 x 320 pixels. All pictures within the LJ-CUT are not to exceed the limit of 800 x 800 pixels.

(g) Copyright regulations:

(i) No selling/trading of burned/pirated/illegal CDs, VCDs or DVDs. 1st time offenders = 2 weeks suspension. Repeat offenders = ban.
(ii) As the creator of any original work on SGST, you immediately own the copyright to it on conception of your idea. Anyone who copies your idea and tries to sell it off will be banned.

(h) When selling/trading fake luxury/branded goods, make it clear to your buyers that you are selling imitation/non-authentic goods.

(i) State clearly if you are unable to ascertain authenticity. You shall be personally liable for any claims of authenticity: sellers may not shift liability to "suppliers" or "the person you originally bought it from".
(ii) If you are unclear in your description and buyers have been misled, you will face a permanent ban. We take this very seriously. Click here for more.

(i) No sprees or pre-orders of items are allowed. To prove that you are not conducting a preorder/spree, please include photos of all your goods instead of using website photos. Repeat offenders will be banned.

(j) No sale of animals (though adoptions are allowed), alcohol, cigarettes, firearms, pornography, adult material, anything illegal or anything that requires a license for sale in Singapore. If in doubt, email sgselltrade@gmail.com first.

(a) Before engaging in a transaction, find out how reliable a member is by checking the FEEDBACK LIST. You are responsible for choosing your buyers - you are free to reject any potential buyers that do not have feedback or any buyers that you deem unsuitable.

(b) When a mutual agreement is made between the buyer and seller to transfer payment, and the buyer changes her mind - s/he is a deadbeat buyer. In order to warn other members of this, search for the offender's feedback link, state how your transaction fell through & leave negative feedback.

(c) When a buyer has paid a seller for items, and has not received her items within a reasonable time limit, please retain all details of the transaction and email sgselltrade@gmail.com if you wish to make a report.

(d) sgstfeedback is meant for sgselltrade users ONLY. Users found with non-sgselltrade feedback on their feedback pages = feedback page removed, suspended or banned.

(e) After a successful transaction, please use this template to leave feedback for each other on sgstfeedback. With effect from 23 June 2006, any feedback that does not follow the above template will be deleted. Both the giver and recipient of the feedback may be issued a warning.

(a) Users are not allowed to swap accounts or use each others’ accounts = suspension and/or ban [1 2]

(b) Users are not allowed to have duplicate accounts. 1st offence = suspension. Repeat offenders = ban.

(c) If you intend to transfer your registration and feedback details to a new lj account, please email us. There will be an administrative charge of $20 for every approved username change.

(a) As of 1st June 2006, this is the new negative feedback system:

0-10 positive fb :: 2 negative fb = permanent ban,
10-100 positive fb :: 3 negative fb = permanent ban,
101-200 positive fb :: 4 negative fb = permanent ban,
anyone with 5 negative feedback or more will be banned immediately.

(b) If you have been suspended, please email us at sgselltrade@gmail.com on the day your suspension ends, with your lj username to confirm that you wish to return to the community. Suspensions are not lifted automatically!

(c) Suspensions will last for 2 weeks and are non-cumulative.

(a) Be NICE to the other community members. Rudeness will only get you banned or suspended.

(b) Mod Privacy: Users are not to send SGST-related emails to the mods' personal email addresses, or to leave SGST-related comments at mods' personal LJs. Doing so is a breach of privacy and will result in a 2 to 4 week suspension. All queries or complaints are to be addressed to sgselltrade@gmail.com or sgst.reg@gmail.com.

(c) Spamming is a serious offence warranting 1 warning and a suspension of 1 month or more.

(i) What is “spamming”: 'harvesting' or collect email addresses from comments in SGST posts unwanted & unasked for mass emails. Just one mass email is also spam. Harassment on Gmail chat or other IM clients is also spam.
(ii) If you receive spam adverts from other users, and you have never joined the offender’s mailing list, please forward it immediately to sgselltrade@gmail.com.
(iii) If you can be proven to have sent unwanted & unsolicited mass emails to any other SGST user(s), you are considered to have spammed.
(iv) Spammers who promote external (i.e. non-LJ) websites will be banned immediately.

(d) Community memories are only accessible to members, who get to access information on fabulous shopping locations, where to get supplies, sizing charts, DIY tips and warnings about deadbeat buyers & sellers.

(e) The objectives of the community guidelines are:

(i) To protect buyers from irresponsible and/or fraudulent sellers,
(ii) To ensure convenient and efficient browsing on the sgselltrade community page,
(iii) To allow every user a chance to post their entries after reasonable intervals without repetition,
(iv) And other objectives consistent with the above.

(f) Users are not to frivolously or vexatiously seek to exploit any loopholes in the SGST community guidelines. Please use your common sense at all times to interpret the rules in the spirit as they were intended. We are sick of rewriting the rules & restricting the entire community due to a minority of ugly abusive users.

(g) We reserve the right to change any of these conditions, and to reject any individual or organisation from joining sgselltrade.
