I don't think I'll be doing monthly updates on OS for awhile. I keep hearing a lot of new bands, but they suck. And I can't keep cranking out negative reviews, it'll bring down the perky vibe. On top of that there seems to be fewer and fewer legit alt/goth models out there. I just keep getting iffy's requesting to be on OS. I blame Suicide Girls, they gave girls the wrong idea of what an alt model should be. An alt model should still be an attractive model, not someone who probably couldn't get laid if they were tossed in the rec room at a prison.

But whatever...

Just felt like being a lil abrasive..

i haven't been doing much "real" cooking the past few weeks, but i've been baking up a storm!


chocolate chip cookies from 'the joy of vegan baking' by colleen patrick-goudreau. i put a few too many chocolate chips in them, but they were delicious!


peanut butter chocolate cupcakes & peanut butter frosting, both also from 'the joy of vegan baking'. i made the frosting a little too runny, but it still tasted REALLY good (albeit verrrrry sweet). the cupcakes had a kind of muffin-taste to them, which i actually really liked, as i'm not a huge fan of cake.


i made these this morning: mint chocolate & carob chip cookies from 'the joy of vegan baking'. i ran out of semisweet chocolate chips, so i did half & half on this recipe. the carob chips got slightly chewy and turned the cookies a darker brown. they are so good.


and last but not least from 'the joy of vegan baking'... chocolate mousse. i added raspberries to it. it looked and smelled SOO good. unfortunately, i can't say the same about the way it tasted. (the recipe is made with tofu, and i really have to be in the right mood for anything that tastes like tofu.)

and on to real food...


vegan tacos with veggie crumbles ("beef") and vegan gourmet "cheddar". these are always good, and i can't even tell the difference between meat-filled and vegan tacos to be honest. i was thinking that this would be a good meal if anyone ever came over.


phebe's mushroom stroganoff from 'la dolce vegan!' by sarah kramer. this was ok... tasted about as bland as it looks in this photo. i spiced mine up a little with some curry powder.


ok, so i didn't really cook this... just prepared it. :) fresh & easy's lemon herb dijon veggie breasts with boiled potatoes & peas. mmm!

p.s.- who's excited for vegan a go-go!? this girl! i may secretly be in love with sarah kramer. but shhhh!

So last night I was going through some old stuff I have in my closet and I found a notebook I use to write in when I was younger and omg I sound so bitter and bitchy and mad at the world lol.I think I've toned it way down since then.


so I was thinking of trying to teach my baby neice sign language once she turns 4 months.I still have at least a month to go till then.My uncle said its pretty easy we shall see.My other niece speaks nothing but spanish so I want my baby neice to do something cool too lol.

ok kids, here's the flyer with all the info. this will be the show not to miss if you are anywhere close. besides the fact that it's the day before my birthday....

(party, NY gallery style, NY Leather Weekend, open to the worlds..... nuff said)

..... the show itself will be a real standout. the list of other artists involved is worth the trip by itself, of course you've got little old me, and LC from Misfit Studios, but we're pretty much the low pegs on the climbing wall. there are quite a few other NY notables, the most notable being Mr Julian Schnabel. (even i'm freaking out about that one)

yeah, i think it's gonna be a good show

i have nine images in the show, 5 are from the newly resurrected "men" book project. yes, that one is finally going to see the light of day. most likely before x-mas. the others are stone-cold greatest hits and well worth seeing big and in person.

i would really like to see a good group of my people come out for this. i already know it's going to be packed, (there's really no way it couldn't be), but familiar faces are always a help.

these sort of events are always more than a little nerve-wracking for me, it's always nice to know there are friends in the crowd to fall back to.

the most important thing about all of this is the cause, proceeds from my and LC's sales from the show, and a portion of the profits from the book project will be going directly to Local NY based AIDS / HIV charities. i'll have more info on the direct groups we will be funding around show-time.

Well yesterday just totally sucked didnt it?

My afternoon was ruined, Since I was so shocked/upset/angry when I got home at lunchtime to re-dye my hair and stick in some tracks, I didnt get a chance to do it.

I spent most of the afternoon pacing like a crazy lion in the coffee shop, wondering if my phone was ever going to ring.

I felt and looked like crap from the tears.

So because of all the drama, I ended up cancelling my night out.



Its a shame really, I had been really looking forward to going out.

I hadnt been out to a club in Louisville for a long time.



I also missed out on meeting up with the beautiful Aries and that made me a sad Chixor when I woke up this morning to ger voicemail.

Despite being super socially awkward and shy I really did want to meet her, I hope she doesnt hate me for missing her call. :(



I also woke up to a text from StValentine telling me how awesomely drunk he was.

I definately missed a good night.

So now im sitting here groggy from Dennys food and passing out at 1030pm.

Wes has gone to pick up a lense he needs from a friend, for shooting BigSexys wedding tomorrow.



I have no plans today other than to lay here in bed, and mope.

If I get the urge, I still need to get my ass up and at least put some dye in my hair.

Cant go all faded to a wedding.
