My story is short and sweet.I was Spade Suicide. I had one set go live, and then i asked some questions in my public journal about the resale to hardcore porno sites and if the rumors were true, and the only answer I got was being kicked off the site about 10 minutes later. Real mature. And not to mention really confusing for me not knowing what the hell was going on? But soon enough i started to find out more and more.
That site was a total waste of time for me, not to mention a huge blow to my self esteem, for reasons that I don't really want to start babbling on about here, but I have a whole string of links to share that might explain it a bit, including this one:

More and more girls are dreaming of modeling for SG, as young as 13 and 14 year olds CAN'T WAIT to do it, and they don't even realize its soft core porn, only ever seeing the myspace preview images...

My contract is finally up with them, but I'm weary of where to go next.

edit: I've just spent about an hour reading back on previous posts here, i realize i must sound like an insignificant broken record of a voice with my post. :P I can't BELIEVE how much i am learning, and also realizing more and more how horrid that site is, and how glad I am not involved with that catty girl drama anymore.

what a great privilege to own and run SG.. and they're just blowing it. it's such a stupid waste.
I mean its not like SG did anything specific to me other then kick me out and never talking to me again. Would we really all be able to get together and sue over the reason of getting kicked out and ignored without termination papers?
maybe i just want SG to get a great big, public slap in the face.

i love oryx. she shot all my sets. i was sad to read what happened to her. i should have left then.

anyways if I can figure out the rest she told me, then I'll post them but I seem to be right in the middle of a massive brain fart.
and femi, damn. she's utterly fappable.
They think Jersey is ugly and will probably never accept another set from her again. I think they told her to stop sending in sets for a while and just continue with her photography.
So yeah, basically if you get a set rejected and they give you some bull shit exuse like not enough makeup/too much makeup, lighting is a little off... and my favorite, not enough facial expressions. If this happens to you more than 2-3 times... they probably don't like you and will never accept any sets from you. But yeah, nothing we haven't heard.

it might hurt to hear, but i'd rather they had been straightforward with me.
I've met both Jersey and Candy and they are both beautiful and wonderfully unique people on the inside and out. I don't understand why SG thinks that of them. I just think it's shitty that SG doesn't have the guts to tell them how they feel. That to me is just bad business ethics.

oh i KNOW, right?! i have a vf account because i've got some buddies on there, but i am so tired of seeing teenagers in their underwear. i feel kind of weird being that i'm naked here and there on the internet and i keep having to say "pants please, your're 14" to kids.
i know so many girls who applied to sg because they wanted the label, the pink panties, the adoration... but didnt really want to be naked.
its such a sad coercion, to tell teenage girls who want confirmation that the only way they can get it on this "prestigious", enviable site is to be naked and pressured to spread leg.
right now, i am involved with a site, pinup pistols. its alt-porn insofar as the models don't fit the "standard" form of beauty, but i personally think there is very little alternative about a classically beautiful, thin girl who gets her hands on a bottle of hair dye and a piercing gun.
what i really like about the site is the fact that nudity isnt required of models, so girls actually get to submit sets that they consider sexy and sexual on their own terms.
the site is in early beta now but once it picks up, i will start talking about it a lot more. i would like to think that it will become one of "the good sites"

Actually, that set that went live, seriously was horrible. I blended into the wall and it was grainy. Plus I was still new at the whole thing and I KNOW i could have done much better. I didn't even know my photographer a the time, and I was uncomfortable, and it definitely shows in the pictures, I still don't know how that set even got accepted.(who the fuck understands SG motives) PLUS, comment count isn't everything. I went live at 6am on a sunday morning on new girl sunday.
I was on the main page for MAYBE 3 hours, that definitely could be some of the reason why I never got many comments, that and the set wasn't very good, like you said it "bombed". lol
The second set was totally different, i didn't even look like the same person. The lighting, angles and outfit were 100%, even the photographer, Synnove, couldn't understand why the second set was rejected when the first one had gone through.
But, this all doesn't even matter really because I'm really glad that second set wasn't accepted. I'm glad I didn't get to go any further with that site.
Feel stupid about it now.
Fuckers.
You know jsut be honest. I wouldn't have left. But then I wouldn't have wasted money continuing to try.
