9:25 pm - Cake or Death?

noseflute 		Alright, I need some serious help. The fic I'm looking for is one that I'm sure was written for the sga_flashfic Cake Or Death challenge, but I can't seem to find it. I've searched through that comm's tags for the challenge but nothing is really fitting the bill.

What I remember is that, unlike most of the fics written for the challenge, this one didn't follow the prompt explicitly, and it wasn't crack. It was about all these choices that John (or maybe various members of the Team) had to make, and about how, in the end, they weren't even really choices - it was like being asked to choose between cake or death. Except I'm pretty sure that wasn't mentioned in the story, just in an A/N or in a comment, but I could be wrong.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? It's driving me crazy!

I'm looking for a story that is probably a few years old. The only details I remember are that John is injured, his face is disfigured, and he and Rodney live together on Earth.

primekaos 		Can anyone point me to the story about Dean Winchester ended up as a marine on atlantis after leaving his family? He's recruited to the SG program as a bodyguard for Daniel but ends up a unoffical expert on alien cultures so ends up joining the Atlantis expediation

babs_sg1 		I think I read this all in one fic--John was paralyzed in a riding accident and lives at his family's horse farm. I think he's visited by people from the SGC or something similar and winds up being in Atlantis at the end.

Any ideas?

anonymoouse 		Weird what you remember.. Forced marriage Mc Shep with John getting very drunk on wedding night. Things go badly. Rodney runs away and with Radek and Grodin has tax company? Bought by Sheppard. Johns dad dies and step mother makes John and Rodney share house. Teyla is Rodneys therapist and calls John something like Rodneys rapist. This is well known fic that I just cant put my hands on. over to someone to find in no seconds flat. sigh

anna_bird 		I can't find the one where Teyla puts on the ring/bracelet/armband from another planet (or made by Ancients) and takes on different appearances to all who see her based on Their Pining Love For Whomever. McKay sees her as Sheppard, Ronon sees her as pancakes, a lot of people see her as Weir, Weir sees her as Teyla herself? Help! I'm desperately in need of pancakes.

korilian 		I hear there's a McKeller story where Jennifer miscarriages. Rodney was really happy about the pregnancy and is devastated, but she's secretly (or openly?) relieved/ okay with it, because she didn't really want it.
Does anyone remember this?

1:45 pm - band fic with abused Cadman? and marching band fic?

anonymoouse 		while we are on a roll here I have to confess to losing these. It has Cadman as bass player? maybe with being abused by father and Bates giving comfort?

The other one is one I got from this comm and have lost again. Rodney designing marches/patterns teyla as colour guard? maybe Ford getting involved with Wraith band and drugs...

conjunkie 		Hello, yep me again I'm after two more fics both Mcshep the first one: Rodney is married to Sam & John is still married to Nancy both woman wear the trousers in the relationships (if you get my drift) I remember some function that they were at both women in their element & rodney ended up escaping to the bar where he meets John who's hiding it's obvious neither man wanted to be at this function. They strike up a conversation & find they get on well. Which leads to the two of them meeting up to do things together & slowly becoming attracted to one another. I have vague memory of a Sam having an affair & a distraught Rodney being picked up at the airport by John. HELP anybody???

The second is even more vague & i'm sorry for that. Basically Rodney & John are roommates in college (i think) & I have a weird recollection about john on his bed masturbating while Rodney is asleep & John in Board shorts wow if anyone finds it from that they deserve a medal but I really can't remember anything else (sorry)

9:47 am - ATA Gene therapy side effects...

pfyre 		I recall reading a story set sometime in the future in which John, Rodney and others settle on another world with I believe another city abandoned by the Ancients - and by the end we discover that Rodney suffered long term side effects from the ATA gene therapy he had at the start of their adventures in Pegasus - he wasn't the only one that suffered side effects either... I'll be damned if I can recall the title though.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There was also a second story [at least I think it was another story and not the one above] in which they discovered that continual use of the ATA gene sets up a life-long addiction to its use - personnel rotated back to Earth die within months of being away from Ancient tech, etc. - Anyone remember this one?

madwitch58 		Ok a friend from a convention told me about this and said I would like it. She said the name was Michael's Pet or that was the name of the writer. In it Michael is keeping a young human woman. I have been go nuts trying to find this story, but so far no joy. Can any one please help me. Thank you.

2:59 pm - Two Gen John and Rodney Friendship stories
thefallen09 Hello. I'm trying to find two Gen John and Rodney stories after my laptop fried.

1) The first story chronicles John and Rodney’s friendship from Antarctica through the years, exploring how two unlikely people could have become so close. The only specifics I recall is that Rodney didn’t know John was that ‘insane pilot’ and Rodney the ‘annoying guy in orange fleece’ when they first met.



2) The next story has Rodney growing obsessed at creating the perfect golf computer game for Sheppard I think. It’s obvious that there is something ‘off' about him and at the same time John’s growing increasingly paranoid. It has something to do with a device that’s making Rodney bi-polar and John schizophrenic because of the gene?


Any help would be great. Thank you in advance!

fanarts_series 		Hello for the first fic Atlantis doesn't respons or it's lost, the sgc found that the genii are in the city and the lanteans are hostage, but john and rodney aren't with the expedition, i remember a scene where John, Cadman and some marines are going to rescue the lanteans, they send some supllies they're hitting into some crates and kill the genii.

In the second John and the team are off world, John is bitten i think by a creature and become neanderthal, seducting rodney with groans and bites, Rodney say something like that "ok do it but don't blame me after when you will be cured" John make love to him hard, it was so hot.

1:57 pm - jet lag + no bookmark = FAIL sgastoryfinders = WIN!!!

mchanjchild 		Ok I have completely lost track of a story I read during my last month of travelling. My excuse is going to be over 100 hours flying time completely around the world in a month. My google-fu has failed as has my searching of crossroads and any other rec sites from my book marks.

I am chasing a story that starts with Rodney and John coming back through the gate injured. John is bleeding/ has bled out through a neck wound and Rodney with a shrapnel wound to his lower leg. Due to his wounds Rodney ends up going back to Earth but can't be treated by a healing device cause the metal fragments react badly with naquada. He gets drafted back in to help the SGC when Atlantis and the Earth 'gate and both trying to self destruct and gets trapped in a cave-in in Antarctica.

Yes I remember the plot rather well but have no idea of the name or author.

yellowvalley 		Hi!

All of Atlantis except John was zombiefied, and if I remember correctly, Shep killed most or all of the others except Rodney. Rodney follows John around for his braaaiiinnns but is of the classic slow!Zombie variety and John keeps him around on purpose, talks to him through the door, etc. Very depressing but soooo good!

skatergurljb 		Hi all,
Um,my computer just crashed, and I thought I bookmarked this fic, but apparently have not.

If I'm correct, the story goes something like this:

Sheppard recruited a wizardly or ATA gene Rodney to got to Atlantis in like 1994, but after two years, the project failed. Then, in 2004, the project got the green light again and was working out (or they were leaving for the maiden trip again, I'm not sure), so Sheppard recruited Rodney again.

Um... I think that's all I've got. I'm pretty sure Rodney's the wizard/ATA gene guy, but it could've been Sheppard.
What I DO know is that I got it from lupan.com Crash and Burn rec list, but hadn't gotten around to reading it, and when I went to get back on the site, for whatever reasons, I seem to be locked out (it gives me an error page, and I've been having internet problems all day today).

illezabeth 		I've been looking for this one for ages and it's gotten to the point that I'm not sure if I didn't just imagine it or something.
Basically Rodney gets flashes of genius every time he gets laid, so John starts using it to his advantage in tricky situations. That's pretty much all I can remember I'm afraid.
Can anybody help?
