Find SGA Stories in a Specific Genre

I'm new to this community and am looking for a specific type of fanfiction.
I'm looking for fanfic where Atlantis looses the connection to earth. Either because earth is destroyed or because the SGA rebels against earth and establishes a sovereign state. Any pairing is fine by me be it slash or het or no pairing at all. :-))

I'm writing a fic and for some reason I'm struggling with John and Rodney's voices. I don't know why. I've written a ton of fics and it's never happened before. But I have a solution! (Or, hopefully, *you* have the solution. :0)

I'd like to find the best John and Rodney voices out there. You know, the fics that make you say "Holy cow, that was spot on!" or "Wow, the writer really nailed that dialogue." or "Now *that* is what the boys sounds like."  To be clear, I'm looking for good characterization both internally (the way they think and feel) and externally (the things they say and do).  I'm hoping my muse will be inspired by such excellence!

Gen, het, slash, whatever. Just please let me know which is which. Even if I don't read them, I'm sure others will appreciate the recs.

I've just watched the tower and despite a) personally believing that any mentioning of marriage might have put a considerable damper on Johns - *uh* - let's call it "desire to perform" and b) John declaring in the end that he turned Mara down, are there any stories out there where Mara actually got pregnant and John finds out way later? I mean, a) my personal belief says nothing about what actually happened and b) (if we stretch our imagination a bit) could be John downright lying or obfuscating what actually happened ("as long as it's not *real* penetration, it isn't *real* sex, right? Right?" *whistles*) or even John talking about turning down the offer of marriage, concealing the fact that he actually *did* "get the girl".

And while I'm on it, every story where John finds out he has fathered a child with a woman from the Pegasus-Galaxy is welcome, as long as it's either gen, McShep or ends up McShep.

I'm looking for any stories where Rodney makes agreements/treaties/deals with other people. It can be allies or enemies but he needs to be his usual blunt self. I recently read 'Failure of Self Perception' by texanfan and it made me want more.

I'm also looking for stories where the scientists on Atlantis are protective of Rodney, preferably without him being aware of it.

As always, McKay/Sheppard preferred but I'll read anything :o)

Just wondered if anyone can throw any McShep bond, bonded, bonding fics my way. Caused by well-meant match-making, perhaps? Or Ancient tech doodahs, or off-world ceremonies, or funky alien drugs. By bond I mean some kind of emotional connection that eventually leads to McShep. Anything like that knocking about?

Storys in which the team are Space Pirates. I have read AU back through up to 2/2008. Found a few steam punk and Firefly cross. I like McShep but gen is fine. Maybe even sea pirates.

Preslash or friendship fic. Mckay and Sheppard. Any fic that shows their relationship, the bickering, snarking, mutual life saving at it’s best. Something that highlights how well they work together. Long would be good. But short pieces would be fine too.

I just read Choices by sardonicsmiley wherein Rodney saves Nancy(John's ex-wife)... now I'm looking for two kinds of fics...

1. Fics wherein Rodney saves lives or endangered himself and John is going all protective ass over him... you know like John going 'screw them, you are more important than anyone else, Rawdneee'.... 

2. Mcshep or implied Mcshep wherein they meet John wife(Nancy) or any other female ex...

I'm looking for any kind of McShep fics where others try to keep our boys apart. Eart-based, total AU or canon setting, anything goes from re-writing Shakespeare to disapproving alien cultures - just as long as it's John and Rodney trying to be together and people trying to keep them apart. Happy endings please, and no WIPs.

Has anyone read stories in which Sheppard is a flight attendant? There are some stories about him as a commercial jet pilot but I know of none where he's in the cabin with passengers. I know I'll actually watch the emergency exit and life jacket demonstration if he was the one doing it...

I just rewatched Remnants, and now I'd love intensely McSheppy tags for that episode, dealing with John's neuroses and how Rodney's love, devotion, and occasional headslaps, fixes them. Please?

Looking for AU where John's a bodyguard, esp. if he bodyguards Rodney. Extra <3 if it's mcshep or preslash but John as a bodyguard is win even without.

I am looking for fic where one of the Team has to sacrifice them selves to save the rest of the Team or Atlantis.   How they say goodby and/or how the others deal with it and the aftermath.The kind of stuff that makes you really need a hug after reading it.
