request: I adore John, so really, anything John-centric or John/Rodney. Nothing NC-17 please, and no naked manips. I don't use fannish wallpaper and I'm not really looking for icons or a new layout, but I love both traditional and digital art. If someone wanted to illustrate one of my stories, I'd be totally over the moon, but that is really not necessary. I'm crazy about kisses and mood pieces -- art that focuses on an emotion or character trait. Really, I'm super easy -- put John in there somewhere and I'm happy. ::g::

Eeeeee! OMG, space blanket!

I love this so, so much. The way Rodney's all curled up, with his hand tucked under his chin and his sweet, sleepy face. John's casual arm and relaxed posture and hair and sleepy sleepy face and . . . *contented sigh*

That is just incredibly, beautifully perfect. Thank you so so so much!

*happy sigh* when I got your prompt, I cheered out loud; I much prefer illustrating scenes. I did email the mods asking them to ask you what you'd prefer illustrated but I guess that the cyberdemons ate that email. So I got to reading your fic (but didn't comment since that might have been a little obvious). Endothermia was the outright winner. I did debate drawing a scene with Rodney in his dressing gown and John giving him a bar of chocolate (and blocked it out), but the space blanket scene won.

I'm tickled pink that you liked it.

There's something really really--

hm.

Magnificent, I think

--about this. It's the body language, I think; totally persuasive. Just--spot on, somehow; very very them! And the textures--the space blanket, the shirt. Rodney's arms make the piece, and John's arm slung over him, both guyish and also loving/posessive. And Rodney's both--self-centered, curled in, and totally trusting. It's really characterological. I like it a lot--thank you for making it!!

It just had to be: Rodney curled and John holding. As soon as I read Crysothemis fic I had the image (albeit chocolate bars and dressing gowns came a close second).

Very cool, I love the way you portrayed the textures and the reflections on the shiny material around them. Also, it's a small thing, but the fall of John's jacket on the right side is lovely.

I took my art mannequin (I think that I should treat myself to some sga action figures) and some aluminium foil which I scrunched into a space blanket. I set up both on the kitchen table by the window. I'm sure that the neighbours were fascinated as I ran around trying to figure out the way that the light worked.

Rodney's posture is heavily based on a pic that DH posted in post filming exhaustion with his dog Mars draped over him. I can't find the link, though. It's a very cute photo

Wow, great work! I like this a lot! I already loved the photo of the sleeping David Hewlett, and you turned it into a McKay pic now, that makes me love it even more! :) It's so sweet how these two are lying there, John holding Rodney so protectively... *happy sigh*

\o/ Yes, it was inspired by the photo of DH. I did have picture notes and mentioned that that was the reference source for Rodney. It's funny though, McKay looks a little different -- sort of less confident (and less stubbly). His nose is a little too big *g*
