| About: | An attempt to gather Singaporean book-lovers in one place where we could possibly exchange old books for others' old books, make recommendations and generally indulge in book-loving. Community Rules 1. No Hawking. "Hawking" may be defined as selling books at over-high prices (more than the common value, or just under brand bookstore price). This is very irritating for members because it comes off as an attempt to make a profit. Nobody wants to buy your tattered novel for $10. 2. No Shouting. ie, typing in all-Caps. This is a common feature in hawking and is rude and off-putting. 3. No Spamming. Don't post the same things repeatedly. 4. No Flaming. Keep things friendly, people. Note Those involved in book exchanges, please take care to secure the contact number (or any liable form of contact) of the person you're exchanging your books with, especially if the exchange you're making is only a temporary one (where books are re-exchanged eventually so that the original owner ends up with their books in the end). Please be responsible and try not to damage others' books while they're in your keep. That will be a good way to ensure that people continue to put their books up for exchange, in the faith that their books will return to them safely and soundly if they only agreed to a temporary book exchange in the first place.
