Via gate_pages: Big Finish Productions to Release Stargate Audio Books/Plays!. These are audiobook versions of the tie-in novels.


According to the gate_pages summary: "Details known so far are that the plays will be available via download or on disc, with the potential of bonus material on the discs. Each story, described as a halfway-house between a traditional talking book and a full-cast audio play, will be an hour long and feature the voices of one lead and one supporting actor, including main cast members from both SG-1 and Atlantis! BFP's website has yet to be updated with details but pre-orders are up at Amazon and Play."

We allow podfic for all genres, pairings and ratings of Stargate SG-1 fic (including crossovers). You may also post recs of podfic, tutorials for specific equipment or software, and questions about podficcing.

Over to the right you'll see links to the FAQ, hosting options, and sign up sheets to read or have your fic read. There's also a tutorials section, with links to information on how to get started, free and not-so-free audio recording and editing software for Mac and PC, advanced podcasting, recording equipment, etc. The tutorials post is a work in progress, and I'll post updates as items are added to it.

We do strongly encourage you to secure permission first. An author may already have plans to podcast the fic in question, or they may not want their work podcast. We will not get involved in any disputes between authors and podficcers. If the original author of a podficced story requests that the post be deleted, we will do so.

Podfic projects have the potential to be great collaborative projects, so we encourage podficcers and authors to work together.
