| Description: | Writing good, believeable sex scenes |
Most sex scenes suck. They either are stuffed in there because the author felt it was "time for a sex scene," squick you out with rough language or overly graphic description, reveal the author is a virgin with no experience and no idea or are written so badly its laughable, not sexy.
We want to read and write sex scenes that are:
a) hot. Duh.
b) well-written, with evocative imagery without becoming clinical or boring.
c) telling us something about the characters or their relationship.
It doesn't seem like a lot to ask, but sex scenes are hard to write well. So this community is for the private discussion of writing sex, how to make it better and sharing writing for constructive critiques.
