| About: | This is a new journal for people in the helping professions. While I created this community as someone w/ an MSW, the community is open to people who are in other fields that offer a sex-positive approach. From Wikipedia: In sexology, some people use the term sex-positive to describe an attitude towards human sexual behavior that regards sexual activities as fundamentally healthy and pleasurable, and encourages sexual pleasure and experimentation. This community is open to people who feel compelled to NOT demonize or pathologize healthy, communicative, consensual, safe and sane behavior. This community embraces gender and sexual identity spectrums and seeks to help others better understand diversity. Non-monogamy, reporductive rights and BDSM are also topics for this sex-positive community. This community is to serve to empower and enrich, not to condemn. If you are sex-negative or feel compelled to say nasty things in this community or to the members, your comments will be deleted or banned. Constructive questions and honest curiosity, though, will not be discouraged. If you have posts that are very long, or have pictures, please put them under an LJ-cut tag. If you are seeking to promote a community, please make sure it's on topic (meaning regarding sex positivity and social work, not just social work), and post a bit about how it relates to the community.
