| About: | This is a CLOSED community for fans of the HBO series Sex and the City. We discuss the show, comment on the fashion, characters and plot. If you're a fan of Sex and the City, this is the community for you! Sex and the City has completed its run on HBO after six fabulous seasons. Repeats of the show can still be seen from time to time on HBO and HBO on Demand. If you have a question, skim through the community first. More than likely your answer will be within the first 20 posts. And just so we don't see the same entry 200 times, the name of that "really cool French rap song at the end of the last episode" is 'La Belle et le bad boy' by MC Solaar from their CD Cinquieme As: Fifth Ace. Observe the following RULES: The Golden Rule: Keep it Sex and the City-related! This is not a general community about New York or HBO. So for instance, if you're planning a trip to NYC, please don't come here and make a post about where you can get a cheap hotel. It and all other posts we think are of this nature will be deleted, with or without a warning. 1. Since Sex And The City has completed its run, there are obviously no longer spoilers on the show. So, the only time a live journal cut would be needed is if your post included large pictures, and or a long post. Then, only to keep the page going, please put the details of your post and pictures behind a cut. 2. Please do not post any surveys or quizzes. Why? This is a free account and the graphics cause everything to load very slowly. One survey post is always followed up by 75 others and it floods the community. If you want to put a link in your post to a quiz, that is okay, but do not post your quiz answers in the community because that always follows up with others doing the same. 3. Be kind to the other community members. Flames will be deleted without question. We're all fans, no one is a more fabulous fan than anyone else, except maybe Candace Bushnell. 4. Be yourself. False personalities, trolls, spammers, and people pretending to be cast members or characters from the show will be removed. 5. Share SATC news! Anything about anyone that has ever been on the show is more than welcome. I try to keep updated on the cast news for everyone, but there's only so much E! one person can watch without wanting to strangle Joan Rivers. 6. This community is for the discussion of the HBO series Sex and the City. Please do not post here to advertise your community or website if it has nothing to do with Sex and the City. 7. Although starting new communities dedicated to SATC is fair game, there should not be any advertising on this community for others. I would not expect anyone who would create another community to advertise for me, and so, allow others to find your community. Advertise in your own journal, not this one. There is even a community out there that is made to advertise new communities. Just look it up and you will find it. 8. When you post, post something of substance. "OMG I LUV SATC" is not a substantial post. Any posts like this will be deleted. They must say something substantial that will result in a mature, decent conversation. 9. Avoid using "net speak" and please try to use proper spelling and grammar. This isn't school, however it makes communicating with each other much easier. Keep in mind American English may not be the first language of other readers. Abbreviations, slang, and net speak will make translation hard. 10. Anyone can join the community. Age is not a factor. If you are a viewer of the program, then you can join and post, but remember: only substantial posts that bring on decent, mature, and deep conversations will be allowed. 11. If anyone disagrees with someone else on their opinions or statements or comments, we can tastefully debate in the community. No one is to e-mail, private message, or harass anyone else in any way because of a difference in opinion. This will be dealt with by banning the member who does it. We should all respect each other and debate in a peaceful, sound way, just like the girls do occasionally on the show :) 12. Introduce yourself. Tell us your name, where you're from, your favorite character, and why you enjoy the show so much. Remember, this is the final season, and we need people who have a love for the show to join and keep the spirit of Sex And The City around for a long time. 13. LJ-Cut is your friend!!! ANY pictures MUST, MUST, MUST go under a cut. *lj-cut text="insert text here"* Replace the * with < and > and there is your LJ cut. 14. Please take into consideration that this community has over a thousand members therefor it is expected that there be duplicate posts sometimes even more than once a day. If you have already read a similar post, ignore it and go to the next as there is no reason to be rude to members just because they missed a previous post.
