...Uh, hi! Not sure how I ended up back in Sentinel fandom after all these years, but I've forgotten where all the good crack is.

I'm after stories where Blair performs the role of a shaman - not so much in a 'mystical' sense, although that would also be awesome, but more in a teacher/counsellor sense with people in the station and the city coming to him for help with problems and such. Slash, gen, canon compliant, AU - it's all good.

Any thoughts? TIA. :D

Hey everyone!
I'm trying to find a gen story where Blair's mom, aunt and uncle all died in
a car accident and Blair adopts His aunt and uncles baby daughter.
Jim's dad helps get them a house and nanny at the end.

 i know I wasn't very descriptive, that's why I read and don't write
fiction. Would love some help in finding this story.

The last story on the list is Blood feud, by Fluterbev. I tried the link, and it doesn't work. I have visited Fluterbev's livejournal, and the story isnot there either. Can anybody tell me what has happened to this story?

By the way, It is not in internet archive either (already tried the waybackmachine).

So, having just ranted about bonding fic that has rigidly set sexual positions for sentinels and guides, I need to read some fic that reminds me of why I like bonding fic in the first place, namely where stories are focused less on the sexual aspect of bonding and more on the deepening relationship between sentinel and guide.

Likes:
-Equal relationships
-Long stories and/or plot
-Happy endings

Dislikes:
-Unequal relationships (especially those dictated by governments or other outside organizations)
-Character bashing
-Death fic

Alternatively, if you just wanted to rec some feel-good and/or funny fic, I'll take anything that'll brighten my day.

J/B slash and gen fic are both welcome and I'm fine with Jim/Blair is a kid fic.  I will warn that I've read a *lot* of what's out there, so newer fic and/or fic that's not located at 852 Prospect is a big plus.

I hope someone can help. I read a lot of fan fiction from a lot of
fandoms. A while back someone started writing an highlander/Anita
Blake crossover on LJ but they  never finished it. Although at the time i
hadn't read an od the Anita Blake novel it got me interested in the series
of books.

Now that i'm starting to run out of the books (almost read the entire
15 in the space of 3 months) I still can't get enough of the Anita
Blake universe and i already love The Sentinel universe, so i was
wondering if there was any crossovers with The Sentinel and Anita
Blake. I think this would be an interesting mix of characters and i
would love to read something that shows the two world interacting.

I don't mind reading slash or gen, so if there are any out there
please send them my way.

I'm looking for two stories by Sheffield called Sandburg's Sentinel and Sandburg's Sidekick. I can't find working links anywhere.

So, I'm in the mood for angsty post-Alex Barnes debacle recs (darn Aly with her Running on Empty stories...)  You know the ones, where Blair is actually angry with Jim for being a jerk and Jim has to do something to make up for it (like talk about his feelings, *gasp*). J/B slash or gen. 

Before everyone's heads explode from the bazillion of possible stories however,  I should note that I've read 99% of the stories on 852 Prospect and most of the older classics as well, so I'm really looking for the stories that aren't recced as often, are only found on alternate archives or LJ, or really, really new stories that I might not have found yet.

*shhhh*  I'm not really here, because I'm supposed to be taking the month of April off from finding fic and using it to read through the 4,000+ stories I already have.  Except, that I just discovered Sentinel gen and I want more (nownownow!)

So, I know that The Sentinel has its own gen archive, but as what I'm looking for isn't easily searchable, I thought I'd try here first to see if ya'll can get me started.

What I like: Long, lighter stories (not that there can't be some angst, but if I'm going to read a melodramatic sob fest, I really want to be rewarded by sex romance at the end) that focus on Jim and Blair and how their friendship develops/falls apart and is repaired/might hint at something more/etc. over the course of the series or early post-series.  So, I guess gentle pre-slash (i.e., stories where the possibility of a relationship is there, but the story doesn't actually move towards that goal) is okay:)  Humor is great.  H/C, au, bonding are all wonderful (though please no GDP type stories).  Plot is adored.  Did I mention I like epics?

What I don't like: Stories where authors try to write a slash story without sex, i.e., J&B are absolutely the most important people in each other's world but they don't have sex, so one or the other will occasionally go out and scratch his itch with a random woman only to toss her away like a used tissue to go back to his One True Love Best Friend.  Stories like this are what originally turned me off of Sentinel gen and now that I'm trying to get back in, I'm a little gunshy.

I'm rereading some Sentinel fic and remember vaguely a story where Jim and Blair visit the UK and are involved in some sort of ferry accident - maybe because of a bomb?
