Challenges will be set by Mab (mab_browne) on Thursday evening GMT. There's no specific time, but it will be around then. All challenges will be stored in the memories for easy access, and can also be accessed through our tags.
You must be a member to post a response. At this moment you can comment without being a member, but the first flame included in a comment to an entry, that will change to members only commenting.
Entries should be between 100 and 2000 words. No one will be penalised for going over slightly, but try and keep to the limit. This community is a challenge to write a story in a specific amount of words, it's part of the fun to keep to that limit.
You can post as many replies to each challenge as you like, but be reasonable, we don't want friends lists blocked. Also cut tag if your entry is longer than 100 words ( If you don't know how to do this feel free to contact me.) Please no off-topic posts, take that to your own LJ.
This community accepts slash, gen and het. But that means you *must* label. I know that's a hot button for some, but we don't want anyone to see things they don't want to. So warn for content and also things like kink, n/c, character death.

Read the challenge carefully. If you write something that fits an earlier challenge, feel free to post the response, but in this case, mention which challenge you wrote it for. If you wrote a sequel to a challenge which doesn't fit any new or old challenge though, you may announce it only. No posting in the community.
All the challenges are listed in the Memories section. If you want to catch up, feel free to dig in the list.
Future challenge ideas can be suggested in the comments section of posts when a challenge is announced on a Thursday.
An archive was set up in the early days of the comm, but hasn't been updated in some time. After discussion between the the former and current mods, Mab's decided that the archive will fall into abeyance. What's there will remain, so long as the site's available, but there will be no updates or repair. Please feel free to archive your stories anywhere you feel comfortable posting.
