AboutThis community shall give everyone a place to post TS WIPs and Standalone stories that are longer than 5,000 words.
A few rules to remember:
1.) You must be a member to post
2.) You can post gen, slash or het, G to NC17 -- the sky and your imagination are the limit. The only requirement is that it has to be TS fic. Stories *must* be labeled, so there aren't any surprises for people who don't want to read kink, n/c, character death, etc. To prevent friendslists from clogging up, please post the story parts behind cuts.

3.) The Sentinel is about Blair Sandburg, Jim Ellison, Simon Banks and all the other wonderful characters. Therefore, stories should revolve about said characters and not the actors behind them. No Real Person Slash, please.
4.) Drabbles, snippets or PWP's are nice, but we'd like to see longer stories-- a standalone story must be 5000 words or more. We're pretty flexible, if the story is slightly under the mark, no one will complain. WIPs are encouraged here. Chapters can be any length but the end story must be a minimum of 5000 words.
The intention is that these stories are posted in parts, so it's okay to start a story here even if you don't know how long it's going to be in the end. But if you have a finished story that's shorter than that or a drabble, snippet or PWP, there are a few other communities hosting that sort of fiction, like for example![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
sentinel_thurs, out there. We don't discourage you to write them, but we want to reserve this space for the longer pieces.
5.) A Challenge will be posted on the first of each month and will run until the end of the month. Standalone entries must be 5000 words minimum. The first chapter of a Challenge WIP can be any length.
6.) If you post a WIP here, please, please, please make the commitment to finish your story. The main point of this LJ is to give writers support and encouragement while they work on their longer stories.
7.) All stories posted in parts will be archived as memories to this community.
8.) Please comment on the posted stories. Feedback is what keeps us writing.
9.) No flaming. We don't have scruples to ban anyone who cannot remember how grown-up human beings are supposed to have respectful conversations. The same goes for trolling. Be nice to each other!
