Long overdue post, once again. I'm so sorry, but the icons I make? Are usually for me, or for my friends, hence I sometimes wait a few weeks before posting them, else it just feels like...it feels weird.
Mind you, I really think this was worth the wait. The icons I've made in the last couple of weeks are without a doubt the most beautiful I've ever made (no I did not mean to sound so conceited).
As always, comments are more than welcome even if you're not actually taking any, and credit IS MANDATORY. I've seen lots of people use an image to make it even clearer and that's a great idea so i'm going to use one too:
Crediting only takes two seconds and helps other people find this journal.
Forgive me if ever there are some old icons in this batch. I've checked and checked but the quantity was so great I might have accidentally re-posted some.

Plain, simple bases, because there are too many of them and I'd never have time to make so many icons. Most of them were already so good, color wise, that I didn't even edit them (for the very dark ones, I decided that it was up to people to decide the level of clarity they wanted, so I didn't edit them either), so crediting me is nowhere near mandatory. It'll just make me happy if you do! :D And if you comment and show me what you did with the bases, it's even sweeter! ♥
Most images come from the ever useful Gettyimages. A few are from Paris Hilton photos. It's the first time I make bases so I'm not sure whether the angles are very good, but the pictures were so pretty I decided to try anyway.

Hi there!
I just wanted to make a small "I ATEN'T DEAD" post (the Terry Pratchett fans will get the reference), and then I realized I actually had icons I could put in here!
So first, the disclaimer:
I ATEN'T DEAD.
As in, really, I'm not. I wanted you all to know that even though I update few and very far between, this journal is not a poor little dead journal left behind to rot. The reason why I update so little is that I make those icons for myself, most of the time, which means I don't make thousands of them and also that I will usually wait until I'm done with them to post them, because everyone knows it's not nice seeing your user icon on somebody else's journal (at least I don't like it, makes me lose my sense of identity somehow). Second, I don't think I'm anywhere near as good as most icon makers I know, so I'm very picky with my work and usually deem the icons too poor to be shared. But I'm working on that. ^_^ (especially when I look back on the first icons I posted here!)
And that's it for the disclaimer. Oh, no, also, it means that you shouldn't hesitate to friend this journal, as you'll be assured it won't clog your Flist! (I still can't decide whether that's a good or a bad thing...)
And now for the icons!
As always, comment (even if you're not actually going to use them, but it's great to get feedback) and credit. I don't ask for credit in the Icon's keyword, but putting my name in the Comment Line underneath it is a MUST.
If the icon doesn't have text on it, which mind you almost never happens, you are free to add text to it, even if it's obviously more than a base. Just remember to still credit me, okay? (and tell me what you're going to write, so I can satisfy my curiosity!)

I also wanted to say a great big sugary Thank You to all those of you who have ever commented here. I know I never reply (it's because I don't know what to say and feel stupid if I only say "Thank you!" over and over again), but I do read your comments (when LJ sends them to me... *glares*) and it means a lot to me that people actually come to this journal and leave with a smile on their faces and some icons in their pockets. No update since September? ...really?
I'm so sorry. Blame my scatterbrainness and also the fact that my computer has crashed down...well, in September, actually. I still get comments about people liking my icons, though, and I'm very very glad to see you're all so faithful. *hugs all*
So! Let's try and put up all the icons I've made since September, shall we? ^_^
First, something to celebrate the holidays: a Good Resolutions' set! I'll add some more next week, most probably.

More icons at last! I know, I'm a terrible updater, but I'd hate to just update one or two icons at a time.
Once again, mostly Dylan Thomas, Emilie Dickinson, WHAuden and other poets' quotes. And some Dave Matthew's Band and Ben Folds Five. I have discovered that Ben Folds Five songs were perfect for Peter Parker icons, and am decided to shamelessly overuse them. ^_^

Dear, I can't believe it's already been more than one month since my last update... I'm dreadfully sorry, although I don't actually know if many people check it regularly.
I've been very busy building up yet another website, though, where you can find ALL my icons, a lot of which aren't in this LJ, so I'd drop by if I were you. :)
But right now, here's a batch of freshly baked icons! Most of them Harry Potter, since PoA is about the only thing people think about these days. :)
Like always, please CREDIT. Adding my name to the icon's keyword takes about two seconds and it's bringing people to my journal.

So nykohl and me have decided to create an icon community, because we've made so many this week that it would be a waste not to share them with the world! So here we are!
You can use any of them as long as you give me/us credit, and you can post icons if you want, too! :) Or tips about icon making (or questions about icon making). You can also post pictures you would like to see turned into icons, if you don't think you can do it yourself. :)
[Edit:] I've thought about it and in the end I'm also going to keep icon_whoring, except, and I know it's stupid but I can't change its name!, that it won't be for icons anymore but just for pictures of people I lust on.
And to start with a flourish, here's a few icons for you...
   
I will post all the old ones, and the non LOTR ones, tomorrow. Promise.
