Bargain U-District Shared House Room Available - $440 pcm inc ensuite bathroom!
I'm moving from Seattle to Victoria in mid-July and that means... a room in the U-District is going to be available for rent!
It's in an 8-person shared house literally within a stone's throw of Scarecrow Video. The other people in the house are amazing and I'm going to miss them a lot: they're a good mix of students, music journalists, artists, cyclists, fanzine makers, videogamers and trainee astronauts. Oh, and also the cutest little dachshund puppy in the world. It's an even split of boys and girls, which is cool; everyone is friendly but respectful, and getting some privacy is no problem at all. (There's no shared cooking or any of that co-op stuff.)
The room itself is a nice size with a walk-in closet and, fantastically, its own little bathroom. Well, it doesn't have a bath, but there's a sink and a toilet all to your very own. If you need furniture you can have some of mine, or else I can empty the place before I leave. The walls are currently purple but as I understand it you're at liberty to paint and decorate if you want.
I'm not going to be here for the second half of the month, so if you want the room asap that would suit me, and we could prorate the rent for July. I'm open to people who want to move in anytime up till August 1st though. I'm willing to start showing the room on the weekend or possibly even Friday afternoon. If you like it, we can arrange a meeting with the other tenants, as the policy is only to let people everyone likes move in, which has kept things here absolutely lovely for years now.
In conclusion, this would suit a student or ex-student in the age range of early twenties to early thirties, who likes other people, puppies and fantastic bargains. Email me and tell me when you'd like to come see the place!
