My friends from The Colonial Fleet (coloniallfleet.org) and I are thinking of checking out Norwescon next March. I was wondering if anyone in the area who enjoys BSG would like to join us? We're a costuming group but mostly the show is just an excuse to hang out with our favorite frakkers and have a few drinks at con. ;)

Lots of us are on the east coast and we have good turnouts at Dragon*Con, Comicon International, etc. but there's a few of us here in the Northwest who'd like to meet other fans.

Go Play NW is a convention for people who like to design, run, and play small-press/indie tabletop role-playing games. We'll be getting together for two days in Seattle, playing our favorite games, talking about games, and generally having a good time.

Pre-registration ends this Friday, June 1. After that, registration will increase to $35, and rooms will increase to $75 per night single / $60 per person per night double. Note that we cannot guarantee room availability after June 1.

• Dates: Saturday June 23rd and Sunday June 24th.
• Location: Seattle University, Seattle, WA.
• Guest of Honor: Clinton R. Nixon, designer and publisher of The Shadow of Yesterday, The Prince's Kingdom, and Donjon.
• Registration: Registration is $15 for one day or $25 for both. After June 1, registration will be $35 for both days.
• Room Options: Rooms are available until June 1 at $65 per night for a single, or $50 per person per night for a double. These prices include breakfast and lunch the following day. We cannot guarantee room availability after June 1! If available, room prices will increase by $10.
• Deadline: Deadline for pre-registration is June 1, 2007.

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you all had some amazing holidays
and your New Year is already off and kicking ass! I know that's the
case for the Emerald City ComiCon, I have a ton of guest updates and
more to share, so let's get to it!

First off, we're pretty excited to announce some incredible media
guests for this year:

FEEDBACK (Matthew Atherton), the winner of "Who Wants To Be A
Superhero?" will be appearing at the show - your chance to have your
picture taken with a real-life hero!

BRIAN POSEHN, the actor/writer/ comedian who is best known for his
work on the recent "Comedians of Comedy," plus he's the preacher
marrying Reed & Sue in that amazing Fantastic Four 2 trailer. Brian
has also recently co-written the smash comic "The Last Christmas"
(illustrated by one of our other guests, Rick Remender), he has a

 Any Battlestar Galactica fans hiding in this community? I founded a BSG costuming group at this year's Dragon*Con and wanted to get the word out to any interested fans in the Northwest.

We have members from Toronto, Florida, and some southern states, but it would be awesome to find other fans (especially costumers) here in town. I happen to be the only one in the group from Seattle, and that's just all kinds of wrong! I can't be the only one who loves this show to death.

Currently, a few of us are headed to Megacon in Florida (Jamie Bamber and Mary McDonell in attendance). Most of us will be at Dragon*Con next year and I'd like to see some people from Seattle hanging out with us. Amongst some of the guests that I met were Tahmoh Penikett, James Callis, Richard Hatch, Aaron Douglas, and the actress who plays Ellen Tigh (her name escapes me). Lots of drinking, rough housing, and an around frakking good time with the very nice new members of The Colonial Fleet.

Being a costumer isn't a necessary, but since that was what brought us together in the first place, it helps to at least have some interest in it. In general, I'm more concerned with meeting other BSG fans and supporting the show. :)

If interested, let me know and I'll pass along our website/forum. I think I'll make an effort to dress up in my ghetto green BDU's to Emerald City Con this year. So say we all.
