What kind of images are allowed at Seasonal Icons?
You may post icons, animated icons, bases, friends only banners, wallpaper, and whatever else you can think of!
They must be seasonal or holiday related.
Examples:
New Years - January 1
Christmas - December 25
Easter - Date varies
Valentines Day - February 14
St. Patrick's Day - March 17
Thanksgiving - Fourth Thursday in November
Halloween - October 31
Armed Forces Day - Third Saturday in May
Mother's Day - Second Sunday in May
Father's Day - Third Sunday in June
....and more!
Can I advertise my community at Seasonal Icons?
No, you absolutely may not advertise your community or any other community here. You can advertise your community at ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) community_ads if you want.
Advertisements clutter the community and are completely unrelated, and simply do not belong here.
Okay, what are the rules for Seasonal Icons?
NEW RULE: After much debate, and taking a vote, we've decided to change the rule on posting to locked communities. Many people feel it's unfair to post teasers to a public community and link back to a locked entry or journal. In light of this, the new rule is that if you post to a locked community, you must make it very obvious that the entry is locked and they will have to join in order to see the icons. That means making it big, bold, underlined.. anything that will catch their attention. This is to avoid you being flooded with comments, as well as preventing any major drama from happening. Also, realize that we will not be able to add your entry to the memories. I periodically clean up the community entries, and locked entries tend to be deleted. I don't mean to be cruel or unfair, it's just easier for people this way. Thank you!
NEW RULE: Please leave commenting ON when you post to this community. It makes NO SENSE to turn it off. It also makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for the moderators of the community to quickly tell you when your entry needs to be edited.
Please be sure to share an image sample that includes a minimum of three icon images in each of your posts to the community.
All graphics must be related to a season, a holiday, or a special day.
You may not post icons with celebrities or cars or cartoons unless they are seasonal somehow.
You can post a celebrity in your icon if it has holiday images, seasonal greetings, etc.
Comment when taking ANY graphics from this community.
Credit the creator in your keywords, user info, or an entry.
Do not direct-link.
If you post more than 4 images, please put them behind a cut. If you don't know how to do a cut, click here to learn.
If it's larger than 100 x 100 pixels, put it behind a cut.
Quizzes and rainbow flags/color banners are FORBIDDEN.
Political statements are not allowed. Any graphics with them will be removed and you will be warned. Three strikes, you're out.
