gany_meade@hotmail.com AboutThis community was created for people who love creating art from polymer clay. The focus is primarily on sculptures (rather than beads, etc), and original works (created primarily by the artist, molds being only a component, if used at all). Ideally, this should be a place where people come to learn, be critiqued in a polite way, and share information, tips, tricks, etc. I'd like to see all levels join: from beginners to pros, everyone who would like to share and improve their art.
What can you post here? Primarily, this is for polymer clay artists, but mixed media, castings off of polymer clay (original works), etc are all welcome. Even a few other media are welcome, but try to make that a minority of your posts. As for paint your owns? Well, credit the original artist, and try to make your posts relevant to sculpey artists: as in focus on your techniques of painting, what you learned, etc... not just to show off: reserve show-off posts for uniquely original works.
Please, when you join, feel free to include an intro post with some examples of your art, your main style and interests, what you'd like to learn, or even just pop on some art to be critiqued or admired. All styles and subject matter are welcome, but please lj-cut with warning anything that is pg-rated or above. Anything that is inappropriate or overly disturbing may be removed by me (I say that only to absolve myself in case someone posts stuff that is generally disagreeable--I don't think I need to worry about this, but just in case). You don't have to cut all pictures, but please be considerate.
Other than that, share and learn--even the best of us still have things to learn!!
