I forgot that I never did post my finished Mexico vacation scrapbook. I posted the first page earlier. Here is the whole thing. This is my first scrapbook. :) Suggestions to improve my scrapbooking are welcome.

| Old newspapers for a scrapbook page |

Dear community members!
I have just joined this community (I'm the 2000th member - yahoo! =) ), my name is Alena, I live in Moscow, Russia. Nice to meet you all =)
I've been working at my wedding scrapbook for some time, and there's a page I plan to create: like a memory of what has happened on that day. I have a photo of my husband and me standing in front of some famous sights here and looking in one direction. You know, it begs to be decorated as the newspapers front page "22nd of May: THEY DID IT!" =))) and a few scraps with articles about that day.
So, I'm looking for some papers from the date 22 of May 2007. If you have any old papers or magazines of that date and if you can help me - I'll be happy to receive a scan of any article, quotes or a piece of that paper.
I'd love to know the real facts of that day =)
Or, if you don't have any old papers - can you recomend sites with news archives, where I can find some texts?

| More baby books! |

I realized I never posted pictures of my latest baby book. This one was finished in April, so I'm a little behind. ;) I thought about it because I'm working on another one, trying to finish it up in time for the baby shower in exactly two weeks. Eep. I'm actually working on a grand total of five of these things right now! A big one (12x12) for my best friend (due in August, shower in mid-July), a small one (8x8) for a friend (due in mid-August, will be mailed), two big ones for my cousin's twins (due in mid-November, shower in late September), and a small one for a coworker (due in mid-December, shower probably in early November). I may die. ;)

I posted a few months ago about my PAS. I have found that by finishing half the book, I wont be able to CLOSE the book when its full! Any ideas? I will post images of my book soon. I need to go buy batteries for my camera :( |

heh. yeah, the best part of our trip was taking pictures in the car :) i love how intense my boyfriend looks and also that one of the girls in the back actually has her finger way up her nose.

Hello everyone! I'm new here, so i thought i'd introduce myself; My name is Erica, i'm from San Antonio, TX, and i'm a scrap-aholic. :)
I was looking through past entries and i must say, everyone here is incredibly creative! I also just have a problem that i'm hoping one of you could maybe help me with; I really don't like the scrapbooks that have the protective covers. All of mine are basically just 12x12 spiral-bound memory books, and i love to use those because there's no barrier to keep everyone who looks at them from opening cards and feeling all the textures. So, my problem is; i need a new one, but i have been searching high and low and NOBODY sells them anymore. Not Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, Michaels- and not even my local scrapbooking stores! So if anyone can please tell me if they know where i can purchase one, i'd be SO incredibly greatful. I also wouldn't mind suggestions for other types of scrapbooks that don't have sheet protectors. Here is a picture of one of the books i already have (i haven't gotten around to decorating the cover); 
It's just a plain, 12x12, 50-page-ish, spiral-bound memory/scrapbook. Thanks so much for any help! |

Hi all!
I've been wanting to scrapbook and post about this for a while now. Here goes...
I am eternally indebted to a LJ scrapbooker, who, nearly 2 years ago, posted layouts of her and her girlfriend, saying in passing they met on the dating website OKcupid.com. I'd never heard of the site, but was finally ready to start dating again (after a painful breakup). So, on a whim, I signed up. Turns out, I met many fantastic people from the site and went out on several dates, but nothing long-lasting. Then, after a few months on the site, I met Mike, the man I'm moving in with this fall! We've been together a year and a half now, and I couldn't be happier.
I've been meaning to do a layout showing how we met, but also as a shout-out to the woman who mentioned Okcupid (I wish I could remember her name!). If it hadn't been for her, I may never have met my love. :-)
I'll be doing some journaling in the empty square above.

I've just started scrapbooking my trip to Ireland from 2008, and I also have pictures to share of my Ireland scrapbook from 2007.
My favorite papers are all from DCWV--I wait until JoAnne's has their stacks half price. The ones I've used: Once Upon a Time, Luxury, All Dressed Up, La Creme, and Old World.
I love using maps, postcards, brochures, and other stuff I pick up while I travel.
