terminatorfic has started the selection and posting part of their SECOND CHALLENGE and it looks like it's going to be awesome... (not that I'm not a little bit biased... it being my community and all! LOL). This time around, it's all based on lyrics and/or quotes! We are looking for fics, vids and fanart for the challenge submissions! We're also inviting all the Sarah Connor Chronicles fandom to join in as well.

Yeah, you've heard it all: emails, letters, postcards to WB and the like. Are you wishing for a bigger idea to help save this show? Well how does a MOBILE BILLBOARD grab you? That's right, a billboard driving around Burbank — around Warner Brothers headquarters will send the message that we want more!

It's going to cost $3500, which sounds like a lot, but really it's nothing when everyone chips in. So what are you waiting for? Pitch in a couple bucks. If you can afford more than a couple bucks, then kick in more. We can do this. We *are* doing this.

If you're not already familiar with with this idea, I got some stickers printed up to help spread the word on a grass roots level about our desire to save TSCC from oblivion. The idea was originally to have fans wear them on their shirts at Comic Con and also hand them out to people. But why limit it to just that?

So aside from just passing them out at conventions... Hand them out to friends. Leave a stack on the counter of your local comic book shop, video store, book store or coffee shop. Put them on community bulletin boards. Cover your notebooks and lockers. Stick them on your bicycles, bumpers, doors, windows. Wear them on your hats and clothes. Be creative — put these stickers everywhere!

Sarah Connor Chronicles, Summer Glau , 1x07

sunshine_hippie is taking nominations and votes for the HIBC (Head B***h in Charge). There are over 10 pages of nominations from the totally understandable (Buffy Summers or Ellen Ripley) to the hilarious (Sam Winchester, Vladimir Putin, or Dr. Frank N Furter). Our girl Sarah Connor is nominated but not getting nearly the votes she deserves. Who is a stronger woman that her, I ask you? So think about heading over there and casting your vote for her.

Being a very short photo essay on how Catherine Weaver is creepy.

Spoilers for, I dunno, what characters are in season 2 of The Sarah Connor Chronicles and the cover summary of Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Just needed to write and post in here that it really sucks
that Sarah Connor Chronicles is not returning. It was a
really riveting Science-Fiction series that was getting
better and better.

A third season would have been really incredible with
the way "Born to Run" ended. I could totally envision John Connor
trying to get back to Sarah even though their relationship was so
strained. So many questions unanswered in that last episode!

The son of Dyson missing and all? The disappearance of John Henry?
Surely Fox you could have let the writers go wild with one more season?

One of the things that angers me about Fox's decision to axe
SCC is that it was either renew it and cancel Dollhouse or vice versa.
And part of their lame reason also had to do with not owning
Terminator? Seriously?

SCC had three very strong female characters who were real badass
whereas Dollhouse contains female characters as absolutely powerless
and controlled by corporate hell. Not to slam Joss Whedon's latest
output. I do understand some of the themes he's exploring within
the series but it truly has to be one the most depressing series ever
aired and Fox should have kept both options for us viewers next season.

Fox: Strong and self-posessed women lead characters or feeble and prostituted
women? Guess that was a hard choice for them. And AS IF they couldn't afford to
keep both series going. Shame on you Fox. Totally banning you from this
point on.


As for Terminator: Salvation, without spoilers here, It brought nothing
new to the Terminator storyline and relied heavily on its sound design
to create suspense and Kyle Reese's character should
have been explored much more. Beware guys. this film is loud! Really Really LOUD.


Prequels are being obsessed over these days like the new Star Trek film
and the upcoming Battlestar Galactica miniseries. Why is this happening?

Once again, Fox you suck for ditching Sarah Connor!

I read today that executives at Fox had to make a choice between renewing Dollhouse or Terminator: the Sarah Conner’s Chronicles and they picked Dollhouse.

Yah, it figures.

I am fascinated by the relationship between John Henry and Savannah Weaver. The "big brother could be John Henry or it could be the entity he refers to as his "brother".

Has anyone read/or written a story where John Henry finds Beast Wizard slash fanfic on the internet and asks Ellison about it?
