This is the writing journal S. Jae-Jones (who prefers to be known as JJ). She is a twentysomething Los Angeles native currently living and working in New York City. During the day she takes extremely affluent clients’ wealth and makes them richer by investing and managing their money. In her spare time, she scribbles notes about her fantasy novels into the margins of various spreadsheets and then spends a lot of hours piecing them all back together. She fancies herself a writer, only to realise that Wicked Cool Kelly (her friend-cum-impromptu-editor) often knows her characters better than S. Jae-Jones herself.



Her first novel (discounting the godawful Regency romances, sentimental Victorian fiction, and thinly veiled pretentious autobiography), tentatively titled Elijah's Chariot, takes place in an alternate universe where the sun has not yet set on the British Empire, and magic is the province of faith. Three children --- Alistair, Eva, and Raphael --- must learn to cope with rising ethnic and religious tension at home and abroad.
