The Dreamer is a comic by Lora Innes. It is the story of a girl (Bea) who finds herself having recurring, vivid dreams of 1776. It can be quite an adventure to go to bed in 2008 and wake up in the beginnings of the Revolution! The historical cast is composed of real figures in history, including Lt Colonel Thomas Knowlton, General William Howe, and even Nathan Hale (also, there is a guest appearance of George Washington!). I've heartily enjoyed the journey ever since I found Lora Innes's DeviantArt account. I recommend this story to any history buff, romantic or adventure fan.

First, I'd like to thank you for introducing me to such a wonderful story! I've already gone and shared it with several friends and now they're all readers. Thank you!

Second, I've added this as my layout and it is not displaying properly (see screenshot). All I've done is chosen the "Flexible Squares" layout with the default layout stylesheet disabled and then inputted my own URLs for the images. Is there a step that I've missed? Also, I have checked it in both IE and FireFox and it is the same result, and it looks like the layout is no longer displaying properly on your live preview.

Great! One of the reasons I posted the layout was to recruit new readers. :)

When you upload a large image to Photobucket, Photobucket will shrink it. This is easily fixed. Just upload the header again, but be sure you've changed your Photobucket settings to "Reduce to: 1 Megabyte file size."

hey - I love your layouts, and I am creating a temporary other journal, and love this one. Sadly, I am a total noob at all this. How am I able to download the images and get them onto my profile? (after setting the layout to flexible squares and putting in cleaned CSS in the custom box)

To download them:
1) Click on the links.
2) When the pictures come up, right click and save-as.
3) After they're saved, go set up an account with photobucket or another image host site (www.photobucket.com). If you don't want an account, you can just use tinypic.com, I think.
4) Upload the picture you saved onto that site. Take the direct link they provide and stick it in the codes where you see it is already there. (i.e. "Header" image would go under .header)

Hope that isn't incredibly confusing... my brain melted at about noon today. :)
