| About: | This is a support community for those with various schizoid disorders. Of course schizophrenia is the most commonly known schizoid disorder, but there are different types of schizophrenia. I do not have schizophrenia; I have schizoaffective disorder, and thought it would be a good idea to create a community where people could air their thoughts about their situation. Oftentimes I find myself asking "Is this normal? I know I do it, but does everyone else?" Sometimes it's not easy to find other people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder to talk to, so I hope that's what this community will provide. Pro-psychiatry, anti-psychiatry, whatever, I see no need to be exclusive. Talk about your experiences with treatment and medication, ask questions, anything that you think will help you out. If you decide to join the community, please introduce yourself! Just a quick note to say "Hi, I'm me!" will work. Or you can do a longer intro explaining something about yourself (that's what I did in the comm, but then again, I tend to get uber-wordy). | |
