AboutThis community's purpose is to provide parents and other adults involved with children who play in the SCA with a place to trade notes, vent, to ask advice, to make plans and, if necessary, to snark.
Share your stories of event woes... of how your child decided that Coronation was the perfect place to have a new tooth come in, of that man who told you that breastfeeding was indecent, of the twelve-year-old girl that wanted to be a princess when she was eleven and is now unwilling to show up to an event in anything but a black t-shirt and jeans and stays on her cell phone all day.
I ask that everyone be kind, considerate and unjudgmental. Remember that the single mom may not have time to make a chemise for her two-month-old and the fact that she and her three kids made it to an event at all is worthy of praise.
Some basic ground rules:
1. Children are not the bane of anyone's existence.
2. You do not have to be a parent to join. You just have to like the company of parents.
3. You're not the boss of me.
4. Stories involving real abuse will be reported.
5. All pictures should be posted behind a cut.
