These fics all kind of focus on jaded/crazy/psychotic!Jared. I love it when an author shed's Jared's happy-puppy-friendly demeanor and we get a taste of darkness from him. And I REALLY enjoy this sort of yin and yang effect that is so in keeping with how I picture him, that he can be both affectionate and aloof, powerful and vulnerable, menacing and harmless. I feel like all of these fics do an amazing job of portraying Jared in various lights.

read this. God. Where to start. Jared's voice is absolutely BRILLIANT. He is pitch perfect as a jaded/cynical supermodel and the author really created such a solid characterization for him I think it actually almost makes the fic go too fast because you end up just eating up the words coming from Jared's headspace. The storyline is refreshingly suspenseful as you never know how things are going to play out. And I don't want to say too much about Jensen, but he's quite a unique character and you will care so deeply for him by the end that this fic will shred your emotions I swear. It's beautiful, painful, heart-shattering....and SUCH a good read.

First let me just say that this fic is an original for sure and knowing that there isn't really another fic out there that is quite like this one, makes it so much more fulfilling.The relationship between the J's as two patients in a mental hospital is so well written without getting too deep and heavy handed. I mean yeah, they meet each other in a mental hospital, but the author does an excellent job of showing that these guys are fucked up in some ways, but mostly they are completely sane. Everybody just has issues. The build up and the way that crazy Jared and Jensen just click......maybe not everything is perfect, but they have this connection between them that is what they need more than any drug or therapy.

The thing is, this fic is all Jensen POV but oddly enough, even though you aren't in Jared's head at all, I found his character utterly breathtaking. He is equal parts sweet and harmless and dark and psychotic. And it just works so well. This is a crazy, dark scorching hot fic and both guys are very thoroughly written. But crazy, beautiful, dangerous Jared is the best thing EVER.

read this. Why? Because her stalker!Jared is f-l-a-w-l-e-s-s. This is a first person POV which is different for the average fic, but it works perfectly in this story. Being inside Jared's head....all you can feel and taste and understand is his...infatuation and he is so ungodly beautiful because of it. The characterization of Jared is so well done and his obsession is so eerie and thorough that I found myself actually sympathizing with his fucked up motivations and the pleasure he would get by his games.
