Greetings fellow Dollhouse fans and fans of Joss Whedon!
As you know, the first season of Dollhouse will finish on May 8th, and FOX has yet to renew it for another season.
It is up to US to make sure that FOX Television knows that we want Dollhouse to continue. Imagine if Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel ended at only one season! Do we want Dollhouse to suffer the same fate as Firefly?
We at savetheDOLLHOUSE.com have come up with a great campaign. We would like all of the fans to send DOLLS to Kevin Reilly at Fox. We need to show him just how much we want the show to return for another season. They should be either action figures or dolls in their original packaging so they can be donated to charity after Fox receives them. If you want to go that extra mile, please find action figures or dolls that resemble the actors on DOLLHOUSE like Eliza Dushku, Tahmoh Penikett or Amy Acker.

Two other dramas likely to get priority treatment from Fox, if the scripts can be wrangled in the next few weeks, are "Queen Bee," from 20th and "Nip/Tuck" creator Ryan Murphy; and the reunion of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s" Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku in "Dollhouse," also for 20th.

I just saw this on IMDb and.. well, I don't know what it means for Dollhouse but it can't be good:
Fox TV and the CW networks announced Tuesday that they have decided not to produce pilots of many proposed television programs under consideration. They also said that, as an additional cost-cutting measure, they would abandon numerous projects that had been in development. Several networks have already cut loose writers and producers who are not currently involved in programs that are already on the air. |

| How will the writers' strike effect 'Dollhouse'? |

From here.
And then you have the more depressing scenarios. For starters, there are producers like Joss Whedon, whose new series Dollhouse has been catapulting forward at lightning speed, only to be derailed by the strike. "I will be busy picketing," Whedon told me yesterday. " I support the guild, and I think what we are doing is unfortunate but necessary. That means I don't get to have my fun, but that isn't the point."
Looks like it could be a long, boring winter in TV land. |

So, what are we sending FOX to show we're serious about wanting Dollhouse to stay on the air? You know, when it eventually makes it to the air... post-writers' strike, post-production...
Dollhouses? Dolls? Dolls' heads? |

| 'Cause there's no point in trying to avoid the inevitable |

Welcome to save_dollhouse, a community dedicating to saving the new Joss Whedon show, "Dollhouse". News of the show has just hit the 'net, and we're here to share the excitement and anticipation -- and the fun!
Why save_dollhouse? While we're being a bit tongue-in-cheek in predicting that a show that's just been greenlighted will need saving, we're also being practical -- the Fox network is not known for its patience with shows with less-than-stellar ratings (think "Firefly", "Drive" and "Wonderfalls", for example).
So, let's talk 'Dollhouse'. And if the inevitable unthinkable happens, we'll be ready to start the campaign to save "Dollhouse". :D |
