Project: Donation Day

Hello Everyone!

A while back, a small group of online friends (thank you Singham!) got together and decided that we wanted to do something special for Sara's birthday. We wanted to find a way to get together and donate a lump sum of money to the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation. Although we encountered a few hurdles, we've finally found a good way to make this happen.

I was very happy (and pleasantly surprised) to see that the foundation's website had finally put up a paypal link to receive donations. This way, the money will not have to be exchanged multiple times and we know that the donation will go directly to the rightful recipient.

My newest addition!

I got up to this being handed to me by my dad! I had written to her last summer, just before Al died. I got this today in the mail along with a note talking about her foundation in Al's honor. If you can't see the note, it says. Dear Sarah, Thank you so much for your beautiful note. It inspired me and gave me hope for the rest of the Grey's Season. I'm glad there are caring fans like you out there. xo, Sara Ramirez

Grey's Anatomy" actress and 2005 Tony Award winner Sara Ramirez has donated $20,000 to the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, the San Diego Unified School District announced Thursday.

Sara at "Boeing Boeing" 1/1-New Pics!

Sara was at "Boeing Boeing" yesterday in NYC. She went with Eric Dane and T.R. Knight. There are a couple of photos, but of course on my least favorite photo site, Film Magic. They do have different photos sometimes, but you need a reason to have an account, I believe, which means, no seeing the photos larger. :( But, Sara looks totally gorgeous. She looks cute with her bangs.

Ramirez befriended a guy on the dance floor, and the two tore it up. She even faux-slapped him on the butt! Stop the Hate, Vote No on 8 is a volunteer grassroots campaign to try to STOP proposition 8 in California which will overturn the current rights of same sex couples to marry.

Penelope Cruz lands the top spot as the best dressed with Charlize Theron ranked #2. Others on the list include actresses Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie, and singer Rihanna. Cruz, who next stars in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona along with Scarlett Johansson and real life beau, Javier Bardem (also on the best dressed list), is known for her elegant style at her red carpet appearances.
