This is a community for the novel 三千世界の鴉を殺し (Sanzen Sekai no Karasu wo Koroshi) or 'Kill the Crows of Three Thousand Worlds' written by Tsumori Tokio and illustrated by Kobari Nori (vol.1-8) and Mamahara Ellie (vol.9-). Here, you will find the on-going full length translations of the novels, the drama cds that have been released and magazine scans. The above are members-only, so please join (the link is up on top. Friending the comm isn't going to help you much) the community to enjoy the goods. Member posts can be locked or unlocked but please don't distribute the translations, scans or drama cds outside of the community.
Why the community
I started translating the novels as a pet project for my friends' and my reading pleasure, but I've since realized that it's not very fun to fangirl by one's lonesome. Thus I started this community in the hopes that more people will come to know and love the Sanzen world because the characters and plot is just out of this world. Thoughts, discussion, fanworks, suggestions, anything related to 'Sanzen' are very, very welcome. If you know of anybody who's in search of a strong story, loveable characters and a good laugh, please direct them here.
It's damn hard to summarize what Sanzen is all about
'Sanzen Sekai no Karasu wo Koroshi' falls into the science-fiction and BL genre, but it is sci-fi only as much as it needs to be, i.e. space travel, intergalatic races, medical advances etc. (think Star Wars), and it is BL with a plot. The main character, Captain Luciferd Oscarstein, has just been posted to a military base on a planet at the very frontier of the galaxy following a two rank demotion due to a certain act with good intentions but bad consequences. You will come to see that wherever he is, trouble is never far behind. He meets up with the Head surgeon of the military hospital called Saladin Aramut, the only known descendent of the Houraijin race that is now thought to be extinct. Luciferd has never felt strongly for another person, but the strength of his fascination for Saladin is surprising and incomprehensible even to him. On the other hand, Saladin hates people but quickly grows to like Luciferd. The characters in 'Sanzen' are all complex in their own ways, and even the supporting cast shine in their characterization. This is a grand tale of adventure, action, humor and an exploration of the various forms of love. There is also a running meta-commentary on BL and BL fangirls that will leave you (I'm sure) smiling and shaking your head ruefully.
