Deleted Sam and Jennifer dialog from Trio

From Joe Mallozzi's blog today:

"No mailbag today as the next scene came to me while I was driving home tonight and I’d like to get it down before I forget. But, to tide you over, here’s that snipped scene from Trio. A little chat between Carter and Keller as they are knotting up that rope:

Carter: So…you seeing anyone?

Keller: What?

Carter: Around the base, you seeing anyone?

Keller: I dunno…I had a moment with - with this…guy. He’s not exactly easy to read so…I guess the short answer is “no”. You?

Carter: Well, I’m the boss, so I can’t really…

Keller: Right Anyone back home?

Carter: Uhm…

Keller: Un-huh, I thought so. Give it up.

Carter: Well, it’s complicated.

Keller: Show me a relationship that isn’t.

Carter: He’s in Washington…I’m here.

Keller: Ouch. Long distance relationship.

Carter: He’s going to retire soon, so maybe -

Keller: Really! Retire? So…an older man, huh?

Carter: Not that much older.

Keller: Washington, older man…is he like a Senator or something? Someone famous? Would I know him?

Carter: Probably not."

WHYYYY delete this? not only does it support Sam/Jack but it points to Keller admitting to attraction to Ronon! grr...I would have liked the episode better...

of course as soon as she began hitting on Ronon I refused to believe the worst of KayleeJennifer and made up an elaborate crack!theory involving her as a plant from one of their enemies and her primary objective is to get close to the leading men (Ronon, Sheppard, McKay) in order to create disharmony and discord.

Like I said crack!theory ahoy...

So here's my theory on that. They are intentionally holding off on all the direct hinting because then in the movie, or in one of the episodes, they will be like SNOGSMEX!!! and fulfil our fangirl hearts.

oh.my.god. When they were teasing a little suggestion of something between Jack/Sam I would NEVER have thought it would be that much. I thought she would just smile when someone asked her if she was seeing someone. The "its complicated" doesn't specifically suggest they are dating but to me it seems like way more then they ever were in "SG1"!!! This MADE my day.

HOW COULD THIS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT?!

My sentiments and thought process as well. It's more "not exactly." LOL But still...she didn't deny it was a relationship. I think she simply meant they're kind of promised to each other...in a way, and maybe when he retires (SOON) it'll be what they WANT it to be.

it really makes you wonder what's going to happen in the next film that Jack's actually in, and has already been written/produced. If they were willing to go ahead and make it canon with those remarks (even though it was cut), then 'Continuum' MUST on some level be compatible with that.... Unless it's not and that's why they cut it, but who knows.

It'll be the first time Sam and Jack are on screen together again in AWHILE, so that alone is worth gettin excited about.
