AboutSAIYUKI MANGA
Hi, welcome to Saiyuki Manga. This community was put together to share the latest chapters of Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden. We hope to provide clean scans and also full translations of the chapters, so people can keep up with the comings and goings of our favourite characters. Before you head in for a look around, there are a couple of things we'd like to make very clear:
- Our scans + trans come out one month after the official release in Japan. This is because none of us live in Japan and therefore do not have immediate access to them. However, one of our very generous mods has Zero-Sum on subscription. A month may seem like a long time to wait, but hey, we figure it's better than nothing, and we will try to bring you large, clean scans and a thorough translation of each chapter.
- We do not plan to release a scanlation. Ever. Although we do feel it's important to make scans readily available to everyone, we definitely don't want to step on any toes, particularly any Big Company toes. A scanlation is pushing it a bit too far, we feel, so we'll leave that to the professionals. Therefore, it should go without saying that we do not allow people to make a scanlation from our scans & translations. Although we appreciate it's easier to read the chapters that way, please understand and respect our position. :)
- We will never, ever use anyone else's scans that have already been put up on the internet. Everything you see posted to this community will come directly from the four people running the show. If you happen to get the chapters faster and you wanted to donate your own scans, please contact one of us (contact details are below). We would be more than happy to discuss it. :)
- As well as the recent Reload, we are also currently posting Saiyuki Gaiden, from volume 2 onward. For more information, please check this post after you've joined the comm.
- We are also posting some of the artbooks and extras. Please check the community tags for more info.
- We will not be releasing any scans of Saiyuki 1-9, or Saiyuki Reload 1-9, since they have already been published in book form in English. You can purchase them from many places, Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk, Ebay, or Sasuga Books - those are just to name a few.
- These scans are made by fans for fans. Which means you are free to use them for icons or layouts - you don't have to ask us. We just want people who love Saiyuki as much as we do to have easy access to the story.
MEMBERSHIP
To see the members-only posts you will have to join the community. However, only moderators will have posting access. Once you join, feel free to have at it - all scans will be openly shared to all members, so don't worry about missing anything. :)
You may also comment on the chapter entries if you like. In fact, we encourage discussion, squee, flail - anything really, as long as you keep it friendly. Troublemakers will be promptly removed from the members list. If at any point you feel someone is being unnecessarily rude or out to cause trouble, contact the mods. We will assess the situation, discuss it amongst ourselves, and act accordingly. Don't be shy! We will be discreet in all matters.
