Is there any way to define the entry area, so it's only in a certain amount of space? (Meaning something like setting limits with an image map.)
I'm trying to confine the entry content to a "page" in the background image. (Sorry if this is a simple question, but I'm CSS impaired. XD)

I have a live journal that is embedded into a homepage using a heavily edited variable flow layout. However the stylesheet for the variable flow (Ie Background colour, link colour etc) is overriding the existing stylesheet in the homepage so I cant make any edits without doing them in BOTH the homepage stylesheet and the Variable Flow layout. Is there any sort of nifty code I can add to my Variable Flow User or Theme Layer that will stop it from doing.

I have just been wondering if there is a way to add background music into my S2 custimized tabular indent style. I would just like to know how just in case I would like to add some in the future. And would I add that into my custom layer or what...? I already have custimizations and I would not want to lose them, but would just like to add background music maybe.

I tweaked my layout layer enough so that the userpics and entry bodies appear in the same table cell instead of the normal two separate cells on my Recent page, but now I'm having trouble finding where to tweak to have the same effect on the comments people leave on the comment page.

Anyone know which function I'm looking for?

Is it possible to put in pixels for your main text size rather than tiny/small/large etc? I need a size between tiny and small.

My journal is exactly the way I want it to look in Firefox (and Safari, I'm told), but in IE half of the text will randomly not show up until I highlight it. The text is set to black (on white).

Also, the background image is half covered by an enormous white space. I'm assuming this is because I have right margin set to "massive" and on IE this is not transparent? I just want the text on the left and the image on the right, as it looks in Firefox.

Can somebody help me fix either problem? Thank you.

Hello

I would like to put this header image at the top of my current layout, just like it is. Is that possible?

I saw another thread similar to my question but I noticed that the person asking the question mentioned some other features she had or would like to have, I don't know code that well to know what's what, all I want is the image at the top centered on my layout just like it is now, colors, everything is already set. Can someone help me please?

I would like to know how to add a "permanent link" and an edit link to where my comment links are. I've seen them by default in other layouts, just not this one. If this has already been answered, feel free to point me to the post!

I'm using a custom layout based on the Variable Flow code, and I notice that the navigation strip doesn't seem recognize my friends page as my friends page. As a result, the strips never gives me the option to filter my friends page by group or journal type. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

It seems that the changes made when introducing customized comment views have caused Variable Flow to succumb to Internet Explorer's dreaded “Shutter Bug”, which causes bits of the page to randomly go missing. This should be fixed at some point, but for now I can only suggest that you use a web browser that doesn't have such ridiculous bugs or, if you really must use IE, select all the text on the page and it should then draw everything.

As of the latest “code push”, Variable Flow now has support for customized comment views (finally!)

I tried to keep to the simple style of the rest of the layout on the comment views, as well as including enough markup to hook your custom CSS rules onto. The comments are marked up just like entries, but they live inside a list of class comments so you can apply special CSS rules to them if you like.

In order to avoid startling people who are already using the layout, the customized comment views are off by default for this layout. You can switch them on using a new option at the end of the “Presentation” tab in the customize area. (As with all layouts, this option isn't available to users with Free Accounts. Sorry!)

I may have to make a few adjustments to the default presentation of the entrypage once it becomes clear how people are using it and if there are any bug reports. For now, enjoy!

Hey there! I'm using Variable Flow and I'd like to know how to customize the date, the time, my heading, and the subject titles. I'd also like to know how to customize where it says who posted in what on my friends list. I've looked everywhere in this community for help on that subject but to no avail.

I've been trying for hours to put CSS in my theme layer for variable flow and it just won't show up. I can't find any tutorials for CSS use in variable flow and I'm getting seriously frustrated. Sometimes some of the CSS will show up, but not all of it and I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

EDIT - I tried posting my coding under the cut but THAT wasn't working either :( Anyway, I would really appreciate any help or guidance from anybody.
