Jun 23rd, 2009 - 03:00 am - Disjointed sidebar
Dinosaurs
I have a plus account, and I'm using the Disjointed theme. The problem I'm having is with my sidebar. For some reason, the default way it is sized is making the page too wide for my screen and is giving me a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom. I'm noticing that when I resize the window, the main entries resize, but the sidebar does not. I can't figure out a way to change the size of that. I just want it all to fit on my page. I'm viewing this with Firefox if that makes a difference.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I am new to coding S2 layouts (like, very very new - I coded a layout in S1 many years ago but I am so out of touch in the ways of CSS), and so I have a really dumb question:

If I'm coding a layout meant to be shared, I create a new theme, right?

Hello layout geniuses!

Can anyone tell me why there are so few themes that let you customize font size?

Hi, I made a layout for my friend [info]phantomreviewerand it seems to have gone a bit wrong. There is a large amount of space between the bottom of the entry and where the comments begin, same goes for when you are replying to a comment.

Can anybody help??

You can view the layout on [info]phantomreviewer's LJ as well as my test journal, [info]testmeee123. Here is my code also:

May 21st, 2009 - 10:00 pm - Adding an header image?
Jack puppyeyes
Hi,

I'm the maintainer of a comm [info]primeval_fanfic and we've been trying to add a header image. We were previously using Flexible Squares and when we couldn't get it to add the header we thought maybe the theme was the problem and so tried swapping to components, which I'm using in my own lj. We've tried every tutorial that we can get our hands on and currently the code that we're trying to use is below. It's a plus account but there's no ads showing up for me and I wondered if the two issues were some how connected.

body {
margin-top: 317px !important;
background-image: url(oururl) !important;
background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
background-position: top center !important;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Nate

Hello! I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to change the link text at the bottom of each post in your journal. There seems to be no way of editing it in the customization place, so I'm kind of hoping there's a CSS code or something that will let me change it.

To be clearer, it's the place when you're viewing a journal and it says at the end of each post, for example, Link / Comment / Edit Entry / Add to Memories etc, and I want to uncapitalize the first letters and change 'edit entry' to just 'edit' and 'add to memories' to just 'mem' and stuff like that. You can see what I mean if you go to my journal.

I have a tranquility ii layout and a basic account, if that helps. Anyone know if there's any CSS that would let me change this? I know nothing when it comes down to it. :/
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Title says it all. My favicon is not showing up. I wrote a tutorial to tell people how to add a favicon to their LJs using a custom theme layer in Bloggish...and our favicons worked for oh, another year or so after that...can't figure out why they're not showing up now?

*Solved - Mike in the comments below pointed out to me I was using two print custom head functions instead of one.*
