Can someone please tell me how to merge the two function print_sidebar() functions in my theme layer? I feel so dumb, I've been trying to merge them for over an hour now and I'm giving up for now because I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It looks so simple, but-!!@#$#% Thanks so very much in advance.

Is anyone else having problems with custom icons? I'd set new private/protected icons, and they've suddenly stopped appearing and have been replaced by the default lock - . My host shows that the images are still loading properly, I haven't changed any code recently, and it's always worked in the past. I've been away for a bit until yesterday, so I don't know exactly when this started.

I'm wondering if livejournal has changed anything and if there's some updated tweak I need to restore custom icons? Thanks.

Hi there, I just redid my layout in my icon journal phlourish_icons and I'm having a small problem.

On the comments page of my entries the background to my user pic is a light blue color and I can't figure out how to get rid of it and make it white.

As usual, I'm sure it's something simple and staring me in the face. I just can't see it. Here's my layerinfo link.

I'm using a layout from introject, and I was able to put spaces between the entries themselves, but for some reason, no matter what I do, I just can't get a space to go between the header and the first entry.

Is there any code or something I can put in that will work?

Problem: I'm curious as to if there's a way to change the size of the "quick reply" box in the comments. I've tried adding a width to the comment box portions of my css to no avail. The box itself looks to be a javascript call and doesn't seem to use any attributes to give it a size unless I'm just blind and not seeing it.

It's breaking out of layout and causing me to have a horizontal scroll at the bottom. Help is muchly appreciated.

Alright. I'm trying to get some custom tiny icons to appear. I want them to replace basically... everything (userinfo, private, locked, etc etc). I've tried a number of CSS codes to get them to show but none of them work. I also read about LJ's recent code change and fixes for it, but they didn't work either. Some CSS codes managed to make the icons disappear, but that was not what I wanted obviously :P .

If there's an easy way of getting it done, I have a few further tweaking questions:

1) Is there a way I can add the userinfo.gif icon to the subject line? Preferrably next to the subject (left of it, next to where the protected icon would be on friends only entries).

2) Can I rotate the userinfo.gif and icon_protected.gif? They'd be the two ones that appear more often than any other. Is there a code for some kind of rotation? I took a look at a code about rotating user icons but I didn't quite know what I was doing to tweak it for the tiny icons instead. I thought about using an image rotation script hosted somewhere else, and I managed to find a hosted one as I don't have a domain at the moment, but it would be easier if you could do it inside a theme layer right?

And just another question, related to the CSS I'd imagine, how can I make the navigation bar justified and remove the gap from the links to the first entry? I tweaked some of the CSS but it didn't fix it.

I'm wondering how I can make the lock image () be replaced with a pretty image in the subjects in the calendar (when you go to the calendar and then click in the view subjects link). Thanks so much!
