storm photos from the richmond times dispatch
Since the fine folks at the Richmond Times Dispatch have seen fit to use some kind of "slideshow" code that appears to give Safari a seizure (at least on my computer) I thought I would post their flood photos here, directly referenced:

These photos are "reprinted" without permission, blah blah blah, probably belong to Media General now even if other people shot them, and looking at them may get your first born child taken away by the People's Imperial Copyright Police - you have been warned. But since you're all dirty pirate song swapping art school hippies I figured it would be okay.

(humor people, humor...it's all we've got at times like this)

Yeah that final photo (of Velvet) can't be from the worst of it either, because its looks like only about a meter of water at that point and later reports from Bottoms Up only a block away (and only very slightly downhill) indicated as much as three meters!

Check out the additional pics from the folks who lsot the Mitsubishi, they show cars on top of each other.

yeah, some of those pictures are weak sauce compared to the stills and video shots i saw on TV of the bottom and other areas.
talkin like, 16 feet deep. says there are buildings that have already collapsed (persian rug store in the bottom) and the sight of people getting rescued from bottom's up.. still incredible though

this is amazing. and i was a part of the chaos as i sat in traffic from 4:30 to 11:00

I got some text messages last night from friends that were saying RVA was flooded, but I didnt know it was to such a great extent until I saw these pictures.

Damn, since I moved from Richmond there's been a hurricane, fire, earthquake and now flood ... maybe I should get back down there before landslides occur!!

Well I guess they were in good shape, since most Virginia strippers have to wear what amounts to swimwear.
