Oh, fun! I will have to check that out sometime. =)

I don't know too many Russian artists, but I just *love* Alsou. She has such a great voice.

Smiles,
~Melbo~

Total is pretty good. I love their song "Bet po glazam" or something. I'm not good at writing Russian out in English. Much easier to just write in Russian. ;)

I discovered Volno Radio yesterday and I really like it! :o) Thanks for maintaining it.

My favourite Russian band is Linda. I also like many others, especially Gosti Iz Buduschego.

If u like Russian techno (I'm not sure what u mean by that though) u may like the following bands. Their music is "electronical" and I'd qualify it as being close to techno/trance or dance. I'd recommend u Gosti Iz Buduschego (they are awesome, I love them so much! www.gosti.ru) and otherwise there are nice bands like Lena Perova, Lada Dance and Demo. If u like Ruki Vverh u should like them all I think. :o) There's also Tatu, they're a very cool band (www.taty.ru)!

Yes, they are some of the best female voices on the scene. Do you just know the songs on their MP3.com site http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/180/long_play.html)? They have a CD which is very good.

Ariya is heavy metal. They used to be compared to Iron Maiden a lot.

Wow! Tuned in and heard a song by Mongol Shuudan. I don't think they get any airplay in Russia so hearing them on the radio is a very pleasant surprise.

Yanka Djagileva. Must listen. In most cases you will find live concerts, just a guitar and the Voice. She didn’t make any commercial records, few were recorded on illegal (that time) Grob Records studio (Egor Letov) at the end of 80-s with a very bad quality (in fact the studio was just a flat with a tape recorder and few instruments). But voice she had, lyrics she wrote and the songs she sung were the best in last 50 years in Russia.

Usually on the records she is maned just «Янка». You can find many web pages about her, if you use Russian search engine (like yandex). For example you can look here or here (both sites are in Russian and have some mp3).
