Screening of Cherrybomb next month at Azkatraz! [18 Jun 2009|04:59pm]

oh_kait
Great news to all those planning on attending Azkatraz 2009 - A Harry Potter Symposium - in San Francisco next month!

Rupert Grint's Cherrybomb will be screened on Monday, July 20th at 1pm to Azkatraz attendees! It will be held at the Zeum theatre (which only seats 200!).

The screening is part of a mini film festival which will also include the documentary We Are Wizards. Tickets will cost $15 and can be purchased upon check-in at Azkatraz or at the Zeum box office.

Also because of the mature content featured in Cherrybomb, please note that "only those over the age of 17, or those accompanied by a parent or guardian, may attend that portion of the Azkatraz Film Festival; since the theater is small, only those holding a single-day, Weekend, Full or Merlin's Circle registration can purchase a ticket to Cherrybomb."

For further information, please visit this site. Thank you to Heidi for sharing this wonderful news with us!

Cherrybomb Distribution: Visual Plea Campaign! [17 Jun 2009|05:06pm]

oh_kait
It's been great to see how everyone has really been doing their part signing the petitions, taking part in fan projects, and spreading the word! We'll be showcasing some of your submissions soon on the site! In the meantime, the staff have come up with a new fan project for those who enjoy video editing and vlogging!

We want you all to put together videos that are requests for Cherrybomb's release. This can be a series of photographs, actual moving images, or a recording of yourself imploring distributors to pick up Cherrybomb and bring it to a city and/or country near you. Here’s an example put together by Lorena:

To take part in this fan project, please make sure to do the following with your video:
1. Upload video to your own YouTube account.
2. Submit it as a reply to our original video.
3. Additionally, please e-mail us the link to your video so we can keep better track of things.
4. Use the following tags: Cherrybomb and CherrybombPetition.com
5. The title of your video MUST include: CherrybombPetition.com Reply

GUIDELINES:
1. You will only link work done by yourself in support of Cherrybomb.
2. We will remove/deny videos that are inappropriate to the aim of this particular campaign.
3. We want to be inclusive, so if you do a video in any language other than English, please include subtitles (we can try to support you in this, if necessary).
4. Please keep the videos short - we'd prefer it at about 1 min 30 seconds!
5. BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN WITH THIS!

Fan Project for Half-Blood Prince [09 Jun 2009|08:25pm]

hpluver88
Unless you were one of the lucky few who were able to attend festival screenings of Cherrybomb (!), it's been well over a year since many of us have seen Rupert Grint on the big screen.

So in anticipation of the release of the sixth Harry Potter film, we've come up with a fun project for everyone!

We're looking to put together a gallery showing off Rupert's universal and dedicated fanbase. Therefore, we're asking you to send us via e-mail a photo of you (with some friends, if you'd like!) standing alongside any poster or display for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We're talking at movie theatres, on buses, billboards in Times Square - you name it! Anywhere you spot Rupert as his alter-ego, Ron Weasley, snap a picture of it and send it in!

If you prefer not to or cannot include yourself in the photo (example: the poster is hanging off the ceiling!), then that's fine! The fact that you contributed is awesome enough! Please remember to include your name and location, as well.

<3 Ellen Show Airs Clip from Half-Blood Prince [20 May 2009|09:57pm]

keleiwhite
Thanks a million to UHP for letting us know that this morning the Ellen Show aired an exclusive clip from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!

This clip is an extended scene of what has been featured often in the trailers: Ron declaring his love for Romilda Vane to Harry after eating a few cauldron cakes spiked with love potion!

It is a lough-out-loud funny moment not to be missed! Click here to watch it!

And thick and fast, they came (from Belgium, of all places!), via The Leaky Cauldron... click here and then play the third video clip, entitled 'featurette'...

Or download it here, thanks to our partner, dr.com.

MTV News is also reporting today that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will present a brand new clip from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince via a telecast at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. The show airs May 31st and we will have the clip online shortly afterward!

Wild Target Finds Distribution [17 May 2009|05:49pm]

keleiwhite
One of the popular cinema chains in the UK, Vue Entertainment, has reached a distribution deal with CinemaNX - the company behind Wild Target!

While a release date has still not been announced, the article from Variety does note that CinemaNX "will supply Vue with at least three pics over the coming year."

Needless to say, this is great news for the film as it will be made available on the silver screen to a wide audience in the UK! We will keep everyone posted with the latest updates as they're made available...

Cherrybomb Wins Award
Many thanks to Matt for letting us know that Cherrybomb has received it's first award!!

The film is the recipient of the Audience Award at this year’s Jameson Belfast Film Festival! This is, of course, fantastic news and creates even more buzz for the film in the light of recent events.

Deathly Hallows Filming...
Photos are beginning to emerge online from the shooting for Deathly Hallows in Wales.

Photos can be seen here and here. Clearer untagged images have been uploaded - thanks to SnitchSeeker!

Huge thanks to Oclumencia who continue to upload amazing HQ photos from both yesterday and today!

News roundup! [13 May 2009|03:50pm]

060888
[ music | Taking Back Sunday - Your Own Disaster (Nj Instore) | Powered by Last.fm ]

Rupert featured in Empire Magazine
Empire Magazine, who are continuing their 20th anniversary celebrations, have released a list of "20 Stars Who Weren't Even Born When Empire Started."

Coming in at number 10 is Rupert Grint!

You know him from: Driving Lessons. And there was that little role in Harry Potter.

Why's he good? He's supported Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter through thick and thin, and has a likeable everyman quality which should allow him to avoid typecasting.

Will he have an adult career? Well, so far out of the HP triumvirate Grint has the most solo-projects under his belt. That said, he is ginger, and anti-redhead sentiment remains the last socially acceptable prejudice, so he'll have to keep working at it.

See Rupert's profile on the list here!

HBP commercial aired on tv!
A television advert for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince began airing last night on The CW in the United States. The commercial showed glimpses of several scenes that have not yet been previewed in the trailers.

Our Order partner The Leaky Cauldron has a very detailed list of these new scenes. Of interest to us is the hospital scene after Ron is poisoned and what can only promise to be an epic showdown between Hermione and Lavender! Read the entire description of this commercial here.

and probably the biggest news of the week- Deathly Hallows Filming in Wales begins!
This week sees on location filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows taking place on Freshwater Beach in Wales. Rupert Grint is one of several cast members in attendance this week to film his scenes at Shell Cottage.
Images of the filming are being added to the RG.NET Gallery as and when we receive them, so be sure to keep checking in to see the latest updates!

...And just a little reminder to sign the Cherrybomb petition- show support the movie deserves and in theatres near you! Sign up to the Facebook group here!

ATTENTION! Sign the Cherrybomb Petition! [05 May 2009|07:07pm]

oh_kait
With so many of you writing in and asking us "When is Cherrybomb being released in my country?!" (and all we've been able to do so far is shrug our shoulders), here is your chance to make sure that it does get to a cinema near to you.

The Little Film Company has listed several petitions on their website and Cherrybomb facebook account through which Cherrybomb supporters can appeal to distributors, asking them to bring the film to their area! Find your country's petition and sign here!

We must emphasize the point that if the fans don't show support for the film, distribution may well remain questionable. Signing only takes a few moments!

Currently there are a list of petitions for the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Brazil. Your country not listed? Sign the petition of that closest to you. Again, chances are that the wider the distribution in these countries, the better the odds are that it will be released everywhere (except maybe Timbuktu, or Yemen...but you never know...)

DH Filming!! [23 Apr 2009|09:46pm]

I do so love it when i find myself needing to update earlier than normal. Usually i would wait for the weekend to do a full news roundup, but this simply cannot wait a moment longer. Although, i must wonder where you have been if you have not yet seen these?

Deathly Hallows Filming
Over the past two nights, HPatDHp1 has been filming in central London. There are lots of goodies from these nights, including dozens of lovely high res pictures. <3

Image Gallery: See photos of Rupert, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, director David Yates, the trio's stand-ins, and the general atmosphere of the area!
To see images from Night #2, Click here. High res are also available here.

Here's an exclusive video from night #1, from RGN to you! click here
Video Footage on YouTube: This is a 3min 48sec montage containing footage from the entire evening! The first minute or so is a bit dark, but it becomes considerably clearer towards the end. [Download]
There is also one more video we'd like to share! This footage shows the Trio filming a quick scene where they jump back from the curb, perhaps avoiding a bus they hadn't seen coming. Click here to see it.

Exclusive Scans from Empire
In the June edition of Empire Magazine there is a lovely four page interview with Dan Radcliffe and David Heyman, where they discuss working on Harry Potter... there is also a fantastic feature with wonderful photoshoots of various actors from the past 20 years, as this is Empire Magazine's 20th Anniversary edition...

Dan, Rupert and Emma were chosen for the shoot and we also have scans of their absolutely stunning picture.

Many thanks to our partner dr.com for the non-Rupert scans!

The Little Film Company has announced their line-up of films to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

It's exciting to note, then, that Cherrybomb has been included on this roster of films to be screened!

The film is currently scheduled to screen one day only on Thursday, May 14th at 9.30am at the Riviera 2 theatre.
