AboutThis community is for those interested in the study of runes. Beginner, advanced, doesn't matter. People of all faiths and traditions are welcomed, only requirement being that you have an interest in the runes.
Definition of rune:
1 : any of the characters of any of several alphabets used by the Germanic peoples from about the 3d to the 13th centuries
2 : MYSTERY, MAGIC
3 [Finnish runo, of Germanic origin; akin to Old Norse run] a : a Finnish or Old Norse poem b : POEM, SONG

Discussion here is meant to be of the runes of the Germanic, Anglo-Saxon and Norse tradition, where the runes in question originated. These are the places where they were used. There is a system that Celts and Druids used, called Ogham, which is quite different from Nordic runes, which the Celts have used for thousands of years.
