The cut is added in the application code, so you have no excuse for not using one, and your entry will be deleted if you don't. 2. You must join the community and post your own application. No posting for a friend/sibling/parent who doesn't have their own account. 3. Use proper grammar and spelling as best you can. If English isn't your first language, that's fine, just do your best. But try to at least make your application understandable, and keep netspeak to a minimum. We don't mind some "OMG"s and "LOL"s sprinkled about, but if every other sentence is littered with netspeak, we're not going to be happy. 4. Don't try to get people to vote you as one character. You can put in a request to not be voted as any character beyond a certain point in the series, or to be voted only as a character from one gender, but don't try to rig the votes. We're not stupid; if you put "scaring people with my pet dinosaur" as a hobby, we'll catch on. 5. Under no circumstances are you to mention favorite or least favorite characters. This can be prejudicial, and interferes with the voter's ability to be impartial. Which is bad. 6. So we know you've really read the rules, type "Oh my freakin' gosh" in the subject line. Failure to do so will mean that until you change it, you will get no votes. 7. Be as detailed as you can in your application. The more thorough you are, the easier it will be for people to rate you. [In theory, anyway.] 8. You will be stamped after you have recieved seven votes. Should a tie occur, either a maintainer will submit a vote, or your application will be put in a post requesting more votes. 9. Play nice. Don't disrespect members or mods. Doing so once will get you a warning [and don't think I won't put your name on a Word file so I remember you]. Twice, and you will be banned. Consider yourself warned. 10. If you are unsatisfied with your stamp, or have read further into the series and are thus willing to be stamped as characters from later on, you can re-apply. As long as you don't get people re-applying ten times in a row, I don't think I'll put a limit on the number of times you can do so. 11. When re-applying, put "re-applying" in the subject, so we know. 12. You do not have to be stamped to vote, but you must have submitted an application. You are strongly encouraged to stick around and vote on other people's applications. You'd want them to do it for you, right? 13. Please bold your votes. It makes it easier for mods to go through and check them. 14. If you see a multitude of characters in a person, you may vote them as two people, but no more. 15. If you really see someone who isn't on the stamps list in an applicant, by all means, vote for that person. If other people agree with you, a stamp will be made. 16. Posts about other Runaways-related communities are okay, as is plugging another rating community. And we're more than happy to affiliate with any other Runaways/rating communities out there.
