Because at the time he felt guilty stringing his fans along.

But he's gone into animation for TV now if I remember correctly so he hasn't really got time to finish up the comic.

That's not much of an excuse. Lots of artists/animators/etc. have multiple projects. Scott Kurtz or the Penny Arcade guys, for example, or Ramon Perez. It's not a matter of time, just inclination: Ian J hates his old comic. He thinks his comics, and the community associated with it, are embarassing. It's all subjective.

they kill galgarion with some final exotic move, and it ends in love. or death. or hilariousness. whichever of the three.

Ian, wish u would finish up the series. I am a recent reader who found your comic through Gone With the Blast wave. I know your busy with life and other material, but a finale would; in my opinion, get that cinder block off your chest.

Maybe we can speculate which one will be finished first: Duke Nukem Forever or RPG World Comic. RPG World Comic looks like the winner, because it only needs the final battle and a short epilogue, but dnf can also win, because we hear stuffs about that more frequently.

It's a great webcomic, I usually recommend this to my friends, those who like rpgs, or just like to draw. I have all pages saved on my hard drive, but the whole series is nothing without an ending. It's a very important part in every storyline, what's the whole point without a conclusion.

The guy who recommended me this webcomic made games earlier, and he has some unfinished ones, but he says he'll finish 1 soon, while he has only time at nights. Also he has a music band to play in.

Maybe RPG World Comic looks bad for someone, but most people enjoyed it, and I don't know a more popular webcomic on the whole internet. It really deserves an ending.

I think there's a whole lot more to this story that Ian had originally planned than just the fight. He had just introduced the time machine, Diane's little brother, etc. Had the comic continued, I think the party would have lost and we would have gotten a glimpse of the future with Galgarion as ruler only for them to use the time machine to undo the fight, bring Reka back and maybe even have her pick up what was in that treasure chest they were going after when the party first met her.

It's my hope that even if Ian has lost all love for this comic (which isn't very surprising for the way his "fans" blasted him in the forums) that he will come back and give us a text version of the ending much like Mory's Education ending up doing.

Okay, okay.

Look, I'll finish the story if it makes anyone feel better. I've been wanting to write a novelization of the comic for a while, so why not start by making the ending first?

Ian J, if you want to, could you just send me whatever ideas you had for the end? Thanks. Then I can get these guys to stop annoying you. (:

annoying him? The purpose of this LJ is for the fans to get to talk about RPG World. If it was annoying him he'd take it down like the forums. And thanks for the offer, but no thanks. It's not that I doubt your abilities, it's I get the feeling that most the people here (myself included) want to see Ian's ending from Ian. It's his original brain child that all of us have enjoyed so much and it's his ending that can only give it justice. No one here is pressuring him to finish, we're all cheering and hoping that one day enough time passes for him to look at RPG world without scorn because of old time "fans" who would blast new fans for hoping he'd finish it someday or who would talk about the comic at all. So thanks for the offer but I'm way content on waiting for Ian, we've all waited this long after all ;)
